My babies aren't really babies anymore, they're big girl and boy kitties, they'll be 12 weeks this Tuesday. We took these mainly to use as ads for the ones we have to find new homes for. It still makes me really, really sad to think of giving any of them up, but since they've gotten bigger I've realized that there's no way we can give 6 kittens the attention they deserve. My best hope is to find them homes that will love them as much as we do.

VP you're still keeping a couple right?

Yes, we're still keeping Jack, Abby and Zoey, all the ones we've named, plus their mom, Kitty.

Kitty goes in to get fixed Tuesday morning. We've been counting down the minutes. Out of the past month, there's been maybe 5 or 6 days where she hasn't been in heat. We've discovered that putting her in the kitten room for the night stops her from howling, so at least we've gotten a bit of sleep lately. Still, I'll be so happy to have it done.

I wish. I really want the two tabbies to go to a home together. They're VERY rough and tumble, they wrestle for hours, but when they're done and all tuckered out, they're very snuggly.

Pretty much all the pics we took of him yesterday, his ears are like that. It's like they're so massive, they don't stand up straight, they flatten out and flop over.

When I picked up Worf's medicine at the vet this week, they had 4 kittens for adoption that looked just like David's cat. They were all curled up sleeping

I need to find my camera so I can take photos of Chloe.

Now that I'm home for the summer I get to see "Chloe's Pet." A raccoon comes around every night and eats scraps of food we put out for her, she is SO cute. And let me tell you, Chloe gets SO jealous when we give her attention. While we're oohing and ahhing over the raccoon, Chloe will growl and hiss...at us! She gets so mad that some creature other than herself is getting attention. It's hilarious Naturally, we remind Chloe that she's always #1 in our hearts and there's no cuter animal than her. Cats.

A friend of mine, who has ALWAYS been nothing but a dog person, recently acquired 2 kitties from an adoption programme. I'm so thrilled for her! She lost her 11 year old lab last year, so this was good for her. She's totally on the way to becoming a cat person.

Lovey brought her friend, the gray male cat I see around here on and off, home last night. He was so hungry. I gave him some food and water and when he looked up at me and meowed, I didn't hear anything. I listened more closely and barely a sound came out. I thought he belonged to someone. He's the one I wanted to try and get neutered after Bela and the kittens.
I call him Grayson.
I wonder what happened to his voice? People that don't take care of their pet's

Wow, that sounds like us! We lost our 12 yr old lab 2 yrs ago, and I've always considered myself more of a dog person than a cat person. That all changed New Year's Eve when a rather sad little kitty (and very pregnant, as it turned out) became a member of our family. I still plan on getting another dog at some point, but it won't be for a while.

Having the kittens has been such an amazing experience. I think I've gotten so much more out of it than they have. In fact, I've been thinking that I'd love to foster a pregnant female maybe once a year. I don't know if there's any place around me that has a need for cat foster parents.

Thanks for your kind words, everyone. I hope I can find them good homes. Stripey tabby has been particularly lovable and snuggly in the past week. It almost seems like he knows what I'm planning.

I somehow don't think the Canadian Embassay will accept that as a reason to give me a permanent visa so i can come and adopt the kitties.
