Axver don't be modest, everything on wikipedia about trains is by you :wink:

Haha, there are some guys there whose dedication impresses me considerably.

I haven't written anything rail-related in months.

See you later, Ali! :wave:

4.2? Now that's a bit of an odd figure! In Queensland, it was out of 7. Melbourne doesn't use GPA.

7 is a weird figure unless you guys don't use letter grades

here,
2.0 = D- = Pass
2.2 = D

4.0 = A
4.2 = A+ = Best possible

etc.

Wow, you're kickin' arse! :up:

I try not to worry about stuff like that after I've applied... nothing I can do to affect the outcome after the application's in, so why stress over it?

Good luck with it! :D

*gone*

I was in semester 2, semester 1 could of been better though

Yeah I guess I shouldn't, I'll just apply and pray. That's right I'm turning Christian again for 2 weeks :wink:

Thanks :)

Bye :wave:

It went like this in Queensland:

High Distinction = 85-100% = 7
Distinction = 75-84% = 6
Credit = 65-74% = 5
Pass = 50-64% = 4
Fail (formerly Conceded Pass) = 47-49% = 3
Fail = 30-46% = 2
Severe Fail = 0-29% = 1

In Melbourne, it's:

80-100% = Honours first class (H1)
75-79% = H2A
70-74% = H2B
65-69% = H3
50-64% = Pass
0-49% = Fail

Melbourne marks harder than Queensland, though. I don't know how it would translate to Ireland, but I know the translation to North American marks. H1 is the equivalent of A and A+ in North America (they say anything above 90% is publishable), H2A is the equivalent of A-, and here's the kicker: passing grades of C- to D- in North America actually equate to a Fail here. An essay earning 50% here would earn a C in North America.

3.8/4.2 seems really high to me! :ohmy:

It is, but that's just for my second semester, my average for the year is 3.57 just under a B+ average

That's a really different system...

Class is over, I'll be back in about 15-20 minute guys (depending on if I'm held up or not)

YOU'RE THE VOICE TRY AND UNDERSTAND IT, MAKE A NOISE AND MAKE IT REAL....WOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOO WAAAAAAAAHOOOOOOOOOOHOHOOOOOOOOOO

So, Daniel approves of the thread location? :wink:

:grumpy: you needs to get msn.

MSN sucks. I used to use it. Stopped around 2005.

AIM pre-v6.0 is awesome. Especially if you have a hack of DeadAIM to give it tabbed windows like I do.

I always use MSN, mainly because it's the best place to talk to Dani :wink:

But I have all my email come through gmail

All my friends have gone home cause classes are over so I'm all alone (again) for an hour and then I have my elective for the first time

I use msn because everyone uses it here, we don't know AIM or AOL or ICQ or whatever the fuck there is to chat :lol:

Few people in Australia seems to use AIM either. It seems to be mainly Yanks, in my experience. But I much prefer AIM over MSN.

I barely get spam either :shrug: one or two a week... only annoying thing is that they keep sending me viagra stuffd, and other tips on 'how to make it big with the ladies'

:crack: I DO NOT WANT TO HIT ON LADIES THANKYOUVERYMUCH.

Same, well with my gmail all my spam goes to my hotmail one luckily

I used Hotmail until about 2005 and Gmail since. Never had spam issues with either. Maybe having an unusual e-mail address helps?
