Monday morning, I was thinking about Sunday night's episode, and I asked my boyfriend what he wants to be buried in when he dies. He said, "Not an orange tie."

I think their husband/father is in the basement

Yep, has to be since the son said his father was dead to Bree's daughter. Then after Bree and her daughter left, the mother asked why he lied about his father being dead but said it was a good "cover story".

I wonder why the husband/father is locked up. Insane maybe?

I think the husband/father thing makes the most sense....but the hand looked way too young to be a grown man's.

I know maybe i'm looking too much into the details

I have to say Teri Hatcher is starting to annoy me a bit. She broke up with Mike because she doesn't like his son who is missing anyways. Seemed like just an excuse to add drama.

I love Bree

Um, I believe (and I hope I wasn't too far back or too late ahead) that Rex's mother saw George comforting Bree (she actually cried and let everything out), that made her call up the insurance agent who's already investigating the untimely death of Rex (the doctor also mentioned something to the insurance guy also) and told him that Bree has a "boyfriend." This gets the insurance guy going.

Lynette lets a rat loose in the house to make Tom clean up more often and discovers that the rat has been killed by Tom with a shovel. When she takes out the trash, she apologizes to the dead rat and thanks it for saving her marriage.

(The last part taken from abc.com-- which btw, gives one hell of a recap! But! The above is pure recap by Sevikins (which you can see is not par with abc's  ))
Susan asks Betty about the strange clanging noises she's been hearing coming from her house in the middle of the night. Betty pretends not to know what she's talking about but then the noise comes again. She explains that it's just her son, Matthew, but then he walks up behind them, having just gotten home. Betty says a quick goodbye, leaving Susan more suspicious than ever.

Betty complains to her psychiatrist that she can't sleep, telling him how her husband used to beat her and how she still has nightmares because she wasn't able to prevent him from killing their son. The doctor prescribes a sleeping pill, which she grinds up and puts in the food she brings to the chain-rattling captive in her basement.

I agree, it's "off" this season

Complaining that the creators of last year's major ABC hit Desperate Housewives are "fumbling" and "clinging" to old plot threads, TV reviewers are loudly lamenting the lost freshness of the show in its still relatively new second season.

"The writers seem to be drawing some of the characters too broadly," squawks USA Today, upset that Gaby (Eva Longoria) is now "too selfish" and Susan (Teri Hatcher) "too stupid."

"The show still doesn't seem to have any traction," complains New York's Daily News in Tuesday's editions. "Even the twists aren't as twisted as they used to be." At fault, says the paper, is this season's "tone."

Perhaps the problem, suggests both papers, is that series creator Marc Cherry has yet to write any of this season's episodes. They also complain that there has been no subplot or even scenes in which the housewives are linked.

"In three weeks we've hardly seen the four stars together," USA Today notes, citing the fact that this past Sunday night they weren't together at all.

"Splitting up the four main housewives, and giving them nothing to do" has hindered the action, says the Daily News, which even goes so far as to issue an SOS – "before Housewives goes from stalled to stagnant."

Even so, Sunday night's episode – in which Bree (Marcia Cross) was fingered as a suspect in husband Rex's death and Lynette (Felicity Huffman) felt guilt pangs for returning to work – attracted 25.69 million viewers, according to Nielsen numbers. While that's lower than the ratings of the first two episodes of the season, the showing did help ABC win the night.

oh boy, I can't remember :der: I think George the pharmacy guy was taking a lie detector test and said he didn't kill Rex

Yep...and the lie detector indicated that George was telling the truth.

I didn't realize it until this morning...but I don't remember seeing the Applewhites at all during last night's episode. :der:

When I saw that I believed it is because he's a sociopath. They can pass lie detector tests easily. It didn't occur to me that he didn't kill him.

Is that possible?

as to the show being boring I kinda agree it's not as good this year. I can harldy watch Teri Hatcher scenes anymore. How many times can she fall ordo something idiotic etc... it's getting old

I am really enjoying the new season...I've heard lots of people complaining about it though.

Rerun???? :madspit:

When they showed the previews at the end, I KNOW those were the previews they'd shown last week...and I don't remember them saying anything about it being in two weeks until we were gonna see it.

I'm pathetic...that totally ruined my night last night.

Once again, the Applewhites weren't on at all for Sunday's episode.

Could they not beef the story up enough to have them included in every episode this season? This is the second time we've gone a whole episode with nothing from them.

'Desperate Housewives' Actor Fired

By LYNN ELBER, AP Television Writer2 hours, 56 minutes ago

Page Kennedy, who plays a fugitive from the law on "Desperate Housewives," was fired from the hit ABC drama for improper conduct, a series spokeswoman said Tuesday.

Kennedy, who joined the show this season, was let go Friday after a "thorough investigation by the studio" of the allegations against him, publicist Janet Daily said. "Desperate Housewives" is produced by Touchstone Television, part of The Walt Disney Co.

Details of the allegations were unavailable, Daily said. A call by The Associated Press to Kennedy's agent for comment wasn't immediately returned Tuesday.

The alleged misconduct didn't involve another cast member, a source close to the production said, speaking on condition of anonymity.

Kennedy played Caleb, a character shrouded in mystery and seen only briefly as he was held captive in the basement of Wisteria Lane newcomer Betty Applewhite (Alfre Woodard). In the Oct. 23 episode, it was revealed that Caleb may be responsible for a teenager's murder in Chicago.

The role of Caleb is being recast, Daily said. Kennedy's final appearance on the ABC series is Sunday.

In an Associated Press interview last month, Kennedy, 28, said the "Desperate Housewives" role represented the chance of "making a name for myself."

He was so intent on joining the show, he said, that he passed on other jobs, including a recurring role on Showtime's "Barber Shop" and parts on WB's upcoming Rebecca Romijn series, "Pepper Dennis," and on UPN's "Love, Inc."

"I needed this opportunity to play this kind of character," Kennedy said. "It isn't the kind that comes around often and it's usually played by a name (actor). This is an opportunity for me to showcase all the years of training I've had."

The Detroit native had appeared in the HBO series "Six Feet Under" as a football player who died of heat stroke and made his film debut as a bad guy in 2003's "S.W.A.T." He's in the movie "In the Mix," which is set to open on his birthday, Nov. 23.

"Desperate Housewives," among the top-rated series with about 25 million viewers weekly, represents "the biggest exposure I'll have gotten," Kennedy told the AP. He lauded Woodard as his favorite actress, and said the rest of the cast "has been so sweet and nice to me."

this is what the National Enquirer says

The stars of Desperate Housewives have been rocked by an on-set sex scandal. Sources say Page Kennedy, who plays cellar-dweller Caleb, was fired and escorted from the set after apparently exposing himself to two women.

The first incident allegedly happened when a young female assistant was sent to summon him for a scene. A set insider said: "He opened his door and was standing there with his private parts hanging out of his shorts. Kennedy then allegedly made a sexually charged remark. A few days later, on October 28, Kennedy allegedly flashed to a female assistant director.

"She cursed at Page and reported it to the main producers," said the source. "After word got out, the first girl admitted the same thing had happened to her. After an investigation Page was fired."

Another source said: "People are mad because it took nearly a week to fire the guy. But the stars aren't cut up over him leaving." A rep for Kennedy, 28, who was in the film S.W.A.T and had roles in Six Feet Under, NYPD Blue and Showtime's Barbershop, said: "I have no comment. He's not going to talk about it." A rep for the show said it will not be taking legal action against Page.
