I think it was a great closer. I know some people think it was a snooze fest, but I love how Bono put a lot of passion into those performances.
It was pretty ballsy to close with because, as you said, it was anticlimactic. But that's the beauty of U2 at their finest. Which to me is taking risks even if it polarizes some people.
