Well I've managed to recreate a lot of U2 songs, but one thing that's always bugged me is the 12 string sound. I've tried using a harmonizing whammy pedal setting and a pitch shift 1 octave effect, but they don't seem to get it quite right...
I've spent absolutely ages trying to recreate mysterious ways, but I can never seem to get it quite right, I'm trying to get the sound from the live Boston Vertigo show, and I have a korg A3 and everything, tried a bunch of different settings but the wah sound never seems last long enough, and I'm guessing it's the fact that I'm playing 6 string...
Unfortunately I can't afford a rickenbacker at the moment, so would an electro acoustic 12 string get the same sound, or should I just save up and wait until I can get a ricky? Or does anyone know any other ways to get that MW sound?
