WAS has some of U2's most beautiful music. And Bono sings it perfectly appropriately. God, what a song.

I wonder if Edge's try to replicate the cello with some sort of effect live?
 
Probably true. But it's still the best song on the album. The cello > all of WAS.

I'm having a bit of a hard time relating to your clear love for Breathe. Some of it bugs me, especially the first verse.

Just returned again to Magnificent. This could place as the highest 2000s song in my top forty U2 tracks (which I think currently has nothing from the 2000s at all).

I am genuinely surprised how good this album is.

Even in moments of cautious optimism, I didn't expect anything on the level of Magnificent, White As Snow, or Fez.
 
I'm sick. And have school in the morning. I almost decided not to listen to this til I'm feeling more.. er.. over the weather?
