I have been thinking about all the things that are totally adorable about bono and i decided it would be cool to hear some of what everybody finds adorable about our favorite singer/sorta guitar player

heres just a FEW things for me

his buttchin. it is the cutest thing ever and it makes him ever more mischievious looking

when he says anything with the letter o or u in it. his little accent is so sinful. "love" "gun" just imagine him saying those things

how he loses everything. maybe i think thats cute because im trying to justify my doing it too

BONOSLEEVES! they make me wanna bite his fingers.
as for that one too...maybe i like it because i have the same nervous habit. me and bono have things in common!

the way he has to look at his fingers when hes playing guitar and then you cant really hear him anyway. anybody notice in rattle and hum where at the end of WOWY he looks like hes bowing but hes really looking at his fingers in the light thats streaming from below? that is also so cute

when he says "were miserable bastards" in the achtung baby video

maybe i should stop and let somebody else have a turn
but just one more. hmmm...

the way he lifts his foot up all the time when hes singing. its his best dance move!!

I love his blue eyes.

I love his freckles.

Most of all, above everything else...I love his heart. He has a poet's soul with a dirty mouth, he's something so far beyond myself and yet just like me. He is grand and at the same time humble. He has a vision of a world that is much different than ours is...his vision is beautiful and he is slowly bringing it piece by painstaking piece into reality. Yes, it's his heart that's got my own.

I hope you don't mind if I post this.....its a poem I wrote for an English class last year, we read the Canterbury Tales and had to make our own character, the 31st pilgrim, and describe him like they do in the story

The 31st pilgrim was a short, skinny man
He wrote beautiful lyrics and sang in a band.
He always sang with passion, and sometimes played guitar
There was no doubt about it;this man was a star.
He liked to wear black, and wasn't seen without his shades
He was always helping others, especially those with AIDS.
Coming from Ireland, he liked pint and a smoke
He could always make people laugh with a bad joke.
A faithful husband to Ali for 20 years
So much charm he brought women to tears.
Can't blame them, for his blue eyes and black hair
Definitely gave women a reason to stare.
He sometimes pretended to be Mr. Macphisto
An evil character that was his alter ego.
Still, he acted nothing like this devil
He was a christian though a bit of a rebel.
A beautiful heart, soul and mind
a man Iv'e always wanted to find.

This is a great thread!! I'm loving the Bono poems... u2bonogirl, yours was especially interesting, I feel like I could write a guitar part for it (if I was actually any GOOD )... it'd be a really spiffy song. It has some great imagery. starsgoblue, yours is beautiful and macphistosmagic that's great, I especially like the last line. I wrote a poem for English class as well, we had to find ten "big" words from a newspaper and write a poem using them. I had to read it to the class, which was embarassing... my teacher was all "...wow...so was that about anyone in paticular?" and I said "...not really..." which was a lie but she couldn't even pronounce "Bono" right so I figured I'd...not bring it up...and the people there wouldn't understand the wonder that is Bono.

Once young and curious, yet naive,

As for Bonoisms, I agree with everything everyone has posted.
I love how he bites his fingernails, 'cause it makes me feel not as bad about doing it
I love his accent, and the way he says "em" a lot.
I love the Bono sleeves...I wear sleeves like that too.
I love his height, being only 5' myself.
I love his nose.
I love his neck
I love those pale blue eyes...
I love how he sings.
I love his cute little dances.
I love his outfits and how some of them don't match at all but since he's Bono, somehow they do.
I love how he's cute, adorable, DEAD SEXY, hot, handsome, and beautiful all at the same time.
I love his heart...and how he truly cares.
I love everything about him, BUT I DON'T LIKE SPIDERS!!!

My parental units hijacked the computer while I was in the middle of writing this post to look up this spider on the internet that has apparently made its home right above our front door...with an egg sac. And it's a really big spider. I need Bono to come over and deal with it for me. I mean, it'd be cool if he stayed and did other stuff too (I'm not implying anything. Really. ) but yeah, he should at least deal with that spider. Edge, if you read this, why don't you and Bono, and why not, Adam and Larry too come on down to Indianapolis, IN... it'll take the four of you to take on this spider. Really.

atomicbono- i loved your poem! lol, this thread turned from being about little adorable bono things to a full fledged love fest. not that im complaining.
y'know. i dont think bono would be one to really deal with spiders....i dont know why i say that but i picture him more screaming for ali to come squish it for him and running to the other side of the room while she picks it up and puts it outside.
and if thats what he does: theres just another adorable thing about him!
and i hate spiders too. they make me cry, like i have a real phobia!
i love how bono has to wear tall shoes all the time because he feels short, and how i know most of them are too big for him because he wants his feet to look bigger because his legs "just end" hes so CUTE
i cant stop saying it. *is in severe lack of affection after boyfriend went to college*

I love love when he runs his hands through his hair. His hair has been a source of fascination for me for a really long time.

I love the little catch in his voice when he sings. So charming.

I simply love the sound of his voice. Yearning and pleading. Or soaring and proud.

Love his strut. He has an amazingly sexy walk.

Beautiful smile. Sincere and honest.

Blue eyes--need I say more?? I think I will though Have you ever seen such gorgeous eyes? Perfectly blue. But more than that, its his hypnotic gaze that takes my breath away.
