Album name speculation thread

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
I expect a similar style of album with another long title.
So to save them agonising for hours over what they should call it

I suggest.

"How to leave behind an atomic bomb you cant dismantle"

It has a certain ring to it dont you think?

Boy By Man - Boy re-recording Sessions

The Electric Co. (Jacknife Lee New Mix) :combust:

Something short.

Something deliberately removed from Bono's ubiquitous charity work.

Something apolitical.

Perhaps it'll simply be called:

"U2"

or I always thought a cool one would be:

"A Harbour in the Tempest"

or what I'm afraid of:

"Distancing ourselves even further from the 90's"
A.K.A - "More Rock or Less Rock: Just Kidding, we weren't even considering the first choice."

Dream Sequence

Basically the album could be about anything with that title. It could be an album with a theme or an album that's all over the place. It's pretty open ended. I like it.

Wow! Not too many long name guesses here. My guess is it'll have something with "Love" in it.

Love In Dangerous Times
Love Is All We Have Left
The Power of Love

:hmm:

one of those.

For some reason I just can't see them naming the album after a Heuy Lewis and the News song

I'd like one of these three titles:

- U2: yeah, an homonimous album, why not?
- Music Box: if this album decides to follow the Beatlesque influence and some songs the WITS theme, this is the perfect title
- Man: well, these are grown up man, it's the right time for a title like this

Did anyone guess How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb?

For the next one, how about...

"Oh Shit It Was The Blue Wire Not The Red One" (OSIWTBWNTRO)
"My Soulful Knees" (MSK)
"Coldplay" (C)

Can't wait!

Has "Solar" been mentioned in the past in an interview or something?

Two people mention it here, and a friend of mine thought that would be the title of HTDAAB.

I like the idea of their calling it "U2" but that might not fit with the major reinvention I think they know they need. Two successful albums and tours in a row has always pushed them toward experimentation in te past.

Some say they're too old now for experimentation, but I seriously doubt that.

A magazine had "U2 Solar" listed for release on March of 2004, I think. Something like that.
