well that didn't take long. heard some of it pounding in a pizzeria today while i was waiting for an order to come out to take it for delivery. what i heard was an absolutely horrendous attempt at sounding like the weeknd singing over the sound of two cats fighting inside a bag made of auto-tune, laid on top of a bad knockoff of a beat that sounded like something kanye shit out after some bad shellfish and phoned in. no thanks.

I just randomly stumbled across this Melbourne band called Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever through a mate's tweet, they got on Pitchfork a few weeks ago with an 8.1 for their EP called The French Press.

I just went to listen to it and I'm in love. This is immediately one of my favourite songs of the year

"the band" is an excellent band name because it has a history and a real reason for being named that way and in any case "the tightest live band to ever have existed" is a bit of a mouthful. something like "anal cunt" or "fartbarf" are just stupid things edgy 12 year old sk8rbois name their band to piss off their parents.

not even in the same league of band name quality, IMO.
