Oh yeah, and this afternoon my boss came up to me because she'd seen my U2 Facebook status, and she was questioning my commitment to hockey, as there's a Canucks game on Saturday. I told her I was planning to listen to the game in the lineup, and she was mollified. Love it!

that is how I have been spinning it to coworkers and family. otherwise I get the following: :| :crack::scratch::coocoo::rolleyes::der::crazy::slant::confused: looks.

I second that. I feel like I'm some strange person when I tell people I'm going to see U2. Again. I actually got the "they're still touring?" thing today from a coworker. I just give up with the common person. I love U2 fans. They are the greatest. Just too hard to find. I've only met one single person over the past five years that I work with that likes U2.

My now ex-boss came in my office one day during the Vertigo tour and plopped the NYT on my desk turned to the announcement that U2 tickets were going on sale. She said, "Get me a ticket. Wherever you go, I want to go, too." Mind you, this woman was psycho. My eyes said "you're not the boss of my personal life" and my words said, "I'm sorry, I can't do that." I feared for my job for awhile but she had a weird way of almost liking getting put in her place.

Yikes! :uhoh: Thankfully my boss is really cool, but that kind of a person would creep the hell outta me.

That reminds me. One time I bought tickets to some other concert (I forget which one), and I said something about it on FB. One of my FB friends who was more of an acquaintance (I've since de-friended her, as we really didn't know each other in the first place) commented on my post "Can I come too?"  I didn't know what on earth to say to that, as I wasn't offering a ticket up to people, so I just told her to check ticketmaster and that there might be seats left. People are WEIRD. :tsk:

We need to pay someone to schlep some Pirogi's from "Pirogi Pirogi" over at Pike Place Market that we can eat in the line.

I guess we could order a pizza in line from somewhere good, would feel bad for delivery guy though telling them how to try to find someone

I guess I need to throw this out there, if for some reason I cant park as close as I want to (cost wise), and I bring a chair and a small cooler with me with water, could someone staying at the Silver Cloud keep this stuff for me in their room/car until after the show?

Frick yeah.

If the rooms are too clogged with all of the rest of our crap, I'm sure there'll be time for me to run your stuff down to my car. :)

You guys are lucky to be able to travel around and see them. I went to Hawaii for the last show of Vertigo, and that was a pricey endeavor. I was lucky too about the timing of that. I am so glad they added Seattle to the last leg, otherwise I couldn't afford to fly somewhere else :( What a luxury to be able to fly around and follow the band!! Lucky ducks! And the international fans, wow, that's dedication. Did you guys see this fan meeting in SLCity?
Ofcourse some chick from Brazil was there screaming at him for a picture. Did I hear the girl w/the camera call her a name ? HA! I just noticed.. but that was pretty rude to jump in front of all those polite people.

If I weren't going to Ireland this fall, I'd definitely be traveling to other shows besides Minneapolis. :(

You are going to Ireland? OMG! I loved it there. Are you of Irish heritage Cori? My family is, and we felt a very special connection ofcourse with the entire country. You will have a fantastic time. Dublin was so much fun. Be sure and take the Wild Wicklow Tour from Dublin through the Wicklow Mts. They drive by you know who's house on the way there! :hyper:

Vegas (360) was the first time I'd traveled to see U2. I don't really count Seattle as travel, since I'm so damn close. I'm going to Montreal as well this summer, so that will be awesome.

This is the first time I've ever had funds to travel for anything really. Italy has always been my dream trip, then U2 announced a show 2 days after my birthday. It was like U2 wanted me to go.

Yep, I'm going for two weeks in September! I'm a little bit Irish on my mom's side (Sullivan), but am mostly German and other stuff. I can't wait!

I've been planning the trip for over a year, and everything is all booked. Dublin, Westport, Galway, Dingle.

I have a tour booked for Glendalough, but I went through Paddywagon. I did consider the other tour, but then decided I was going to spend one of my days along the seaside - Dun Laoghaire, Dalkey, and ..... uh .... that other little town that may or may not hold something interesting. :shifty:

I'm not going to stalk, but there's a beach/seaside walk that goes through all three of those areas. I just happen to know which of those a certain somebody lives him. If I happen to run into him on the beach or something, that's fair game.

Coolness! Ya, I didn't want to even go to his house, it's too private and invasive, but the tour bus drove past it so there ya go! Got to see his gates, but from inside the bus! We actually took the train from Dublin to Limmerick and then a bus over to Dingle and Galway. Glendalough is absolutely incredible. It felt like walking through a fairy tale book. I had a really cool /spooky experience walking alone in the woods there. I will never forget it! :) Kylemore Abbey is incredible too, the gardens are stunning! Here the webpage to check it out! :) Gorgeous!
Kylemore Abbey

I'm planning on spending a full day driving around Connemara, so I'll definitely be by Kylemore Abbey!

Very cool Thora! I only get to see one 360 show this one, so God is blessing me with a fantastic show, I just know it!:pray: oh and a few thousand others. :D

I've been in line once when the band has shown up, and I just hung back. I'd love to meet Bono (again) or any of the others, but I just don't like being a part of the mob scene (as relatively calm as it usually seems to be).

So when everyone flees the line to go squee at Bono, we'll just sit there and enjoy the few minutes of quiet.

(Okay, that's kind of a lie. I'll go look/watch, but am more likely to hang back out of the way.)

Awesome! You are going to have a fantastic time!!

Did you see the movie PS I love you with Hilary Swank? The movie is incredibly sad, but I loved the Ireland parts! The scenery in so pretty in the movie and parts of it were filmed in the Wicklow Mts. The men in the movie are gorgeous too!!:drool:
Here's a song from the movie "Galway Girl" with the pretty scerey:

Oh and to stay on topic, I wonder if U2 will ever play Irish music like this? I love it! :reject:

I haven't seen it, but after suffering through the total shit-fest that was Leap Year just for the Ireland scenery, I'm much more hesitant to trust another "romance filmed in Ireland" movie.

I'll be honest as much as I would love to do a meet and greet with the members of the band, I have no idea what I would say to any of them without saying something stupid. I'd most likely just stand there and smile and say hi and that would be it. :reject:

THIS. That's exactly how I feel. I'm sure I'd clam up and be unable to get a word out.

Say what? You have met Bono before? Ok, now I am really jealous. :D
