How many songs should the new album have?

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
When (X) is the number of finished songs, and (Y) is the number of those that Bono thinks are “Slammin’ 45’s” and (O) is the optimum number of songs on the album, then its pretty obvious: X - Y = O

11 songs usually works for U2...although I would love to see them try a 8 song/38 minute record like that certain band they are supposed to be following.

Less than zero.

I want a double album. 17 tracks. We can call it Rattle & Hymn: Songs of Ascent.

It opens with Soon -> live version of NLOTH. Studio versions of unheard songs are mixed with live recordings of Mercy, Stingray, North Star, Boy Falls From the Sky and Stand By Me. It closes with a beach clip....
