The whole adding show dates got me thinking- can you imagine if they added a 2nd Toronto show?:drool:

I don't think we will. We had two shows last year, and the one next year hasn't sold out yet. :(

Just out of interest....what do you Americans and Canadians eat on Xmas day? Thats when we have our big turkey dinner, though I prefer chicken!

Basically the same as we have for Thanksgiving, but the dessert isn't pumpkin-based.

well, just because I got into it, I made some Bono gifs from What's Going On video:

Ohhhhhhhhhhh the stuff my dreams are made of :shifty:

Oooh - now there's a recipe for gingerbread with RUM WHIPPED CREAM! Oh my god that looks fantastic! The gingerbread had too many other weird things in it, but adding rum to whipped cream?! Yes pls!

We do Christmas a bit different than most people, although we often have turkey or cornish game hens for dinner that night. We're always away on vacation together, but we've found a grocery store nearby our place that we can order a fully cooked turkey with all the fixings from, so we often do that. We stay in a timeshare and have a limited kitchen, so cooking a full turkey dinner there is impossible. It's great that the grocery store does that turkey deal, though! Before we started this tradition we always had a full turkey meal on Christmas day.

news announcement news got me all excited... Dublin gig would be superb if they would somehow magically announce it!!
of course I'd had to sell my soul to get the money for the tickets (damn you, bankruptcy and payday being still too far away).
well, let's wait and see what they wanted to tell us...

perhaphs the breaking news is that Bono bought himself new leather pants instead of those he ripped?

about the tour merch - I'm perfectly happy with the grey t-shirt I got myself :) and the button badge :) but true, most designs were quite boring...

I always add rum to my trifle..........to the sponge jelly base............. to the custard..........and to the cream on top

and do`nt even ask how much goes in my xmas cake........:reject:

I agree. We need to all have something the same so we stand out as a group :hyper:

I am slowly emerging from my Turkey coma....

I like the glow in the dark things for our hair. We seriously should all do something to stand out. There will be so many of us in Montreal. I think K said in the Montreal thread we will probably take up most of the rail!

 Doesn't surprise me, and it sure sounds pretty good. You cook a lot of desserts! :D

Ugh. Just saw the first Christmas commercial of the year. :| Complete with Christmas tunes. :sigh: Jeeze louise. I love Christmas, but there is NO need to have these commercials playing in October. :tsk:

There was a bit at the end of that email today that said something like "stay tuned for exciting news later this week." (I don't have it open in another window to copy it verbatim.)

I'm thinking it has to be the additional dates!

Oh .... was there a tour program in there? :reject: Guess I should see what's in my box set, since I'd completely forgotten what was included.

Yeah, I'm glad I got the red one, even though I have no flipping clue what the melting/bleeding equal sign is supposed to signify.

My main problem with the designs for this tour is the font. I hate it! I'd love one of the shirts that said "running down the road like loose electricity," if it weren't for that awful font.

And the fact that "LOOSE" was the biggest word on the shirt. I might as well wear a shirt that says "SLUT."

:giggle:

I'm going to have to pull both those tour books out and compare. I'm sure the one in the box is a bit smaller of course, but I remember opening it and still seeing THE MASK and putting it back real quick. :yikes:

I threw away the mask the moment it fell out of the book. :reject:

Mine is a page in the book, so I can't even shake it out.

:shifty: Did anyone use their mask at the show? We held ours up anyway, since we were on the rail and it was a DVD and all we figured we better.
