oh it's thanksgiving today? I thought it was yesterday! :D Well happy Thanksgiving again then!

What kind of recipes do they show? Mostly turkey stuff?

The holiday is technically today. People often eat their big family dinner earlier on in the weekend, though. Who wants to go to work the day after having a massive turkey binge?!

Thanks! :D

Yeah, this show I'm watching right now has had a few turkey recipes, one amazing stuffing and just now there was a weeeiiird mashed potato recipe with tons of cheese. :| No cheese in the potatoes - that ruins it!! If you can eat or like cheese, it might be nice, but it looked gross to me.

Sounds like a good idea. You'd need at least a day to recover from that! :D

:yuck: Mash with CHEESE? Eww. That sounds almost as gross as mac n cheese. Yeah. I am the only person I know who hates it. Everyone always goes on how awesome it is, but it looks and tatstes like nose boogers to me!

to quote classics: melted cheese tastes good on practically everything :)

I can't eat cheese, so I'd never try it, but this dish looked so disgusting. There was mozzarella mixed in with the mashed potatoes, then re-baked with more cheese on top. YUCK! :der: I can understand wanting to do something a little different, but Thanksgiving doesn't really strike me as the time to switch things up, which the host actually admitted. Then why the hell are you showing us this dish if you think the holidays aren't time to try something new and very different?! :eyebrow:

Ah right, you're lactose intolerant right?
That sounds pretty gross to me. I love cheese, but not melted over my food. :yuck: Unless it's a cheesebuger, that's decent. Or grated cheese on a pizza or pastasauce.

We have already joked in the Montreal thread about having one of those leash things that everyone hangs onto as we run in so no one gets lost in the shuffle!
:applaud::applaud: excellent idea!!!:lol:

 totally locked out o f Tne Net yesterday and last night.

finally here!
ALTHOUGH I'm NOT Sure how long this connection will hold up. :(

And *THANKS* comet for the JT Bono gif!
Moar Pleeze!:D:hug:

I'm a big ol' cheese lover, but the thought of cheese in mashed potatoes grosses me out a tad. Which is weird, because cheese on baked potatoes is the bomb.

Yup, I can't have any kind of milk products.

There's a time and a place for cheese, but NOT in mashed potatoes.

Did anyone else get the u2.com email? Thanks for advertising the European tour bundle, when I didn't even go see shows there, u2.com! Apparently there will be "breaking news" later on this week. I'm sure we'll know it before it's announced, as always.

OOOOOH!!! Really? :hyper:

I was thinking about Ireland this weekend, and I'm so ready to have a date set so I can start making more concrete plans. :)

That is what I thought as well. They are probably announcing Ireland! I do hope for a second Minneapolis show, but I don't see it happening!

I did I did I did. :hyper: Dublin dates?? Who knows!

knowing U2.com they'll announce the baltimore date we already know about, and perhaps Glasto.

The package is okay, but the t-shirt will be a RANDOM EU date. What's the point in that?

Seconded. Which is weird, because I absolutely love twice baked potatoes and I imagine cheesy mashed potatoes would taste the same as the inside of a twice baked potato.

: wave:: wave:: wave:: wave::wave:

***Happy Thanksgiving***
.... :hug:VP, Drea, Kristen, Amy (am I forgetting anyone? :uhoh: ) !!!

I am thankful I have met all you wonderful  Maple Leafers!!!

Yeah, the random date is a bit annoying. What if you only went to one? Wouldn't you naturally want the date for the concert you went to? :tsk:

Well I already bought a Brussels t-shirt, so I wouldn't need that. I do want the calendar though, not sure if the tour book is worth the money.

I'm meh on the thought of one of those shirts (just not a fan of the merch on this tour), but would love a calendar and tour book. I always think about buying a tour book but hate the thought of lugging it around during and/or after the show. I don't want it to get all bent or anything.

I haven't seen this info yet, so they are going to announce something then? :hmm: And if anyone has the U2 360 Rose Bowl deluxe box, they put the exact same tour program in there you get at the shows. I'm pretty sure anyway, though I haven't put them side by side, it's close anyway.

This! I only liked the red t-shirt that I got - everything else didn't look good to me. I'm sure there will be different stuff for next year's tour, and hopefully it will be better.

I also want a calendar and a tour book, but would also be annoyed if it got ruined during or after the show.

Ah thanks, then I don't need the new one.

For the record: The calendar wasn't sold in the merch stores on the EU leg. I wanted to buy it but it wasn't there. :(

There was a bit at the end of that email today that said something like "stay tuned for exciting news later this week." (I don't have it open in another window to copy it verbatim.)

I'm thinking it has to be the additional dates!

Oh .... was there a tour program in there? :reject: Guess I should see what's in my box set, since I'd completely forgotten what was included.

Yeah, I'm glad I got the red one, even though I have no flipping clue what the melting/bleeding equal sign is supposed to signify.

My main problem with the designs for this tour is the font. I hate it! I'd love one of the shirts that said "running down the road like loose electricity," if it weren't for that awful font.

And the fact that "LOOSE" was the biggest word on the shirt. I might as well wear a shirt that says "SLUT."
