I called fanfire and was told they were sending it to the 'home office' so they could reference with ticketmaster.

said it could take a few days.

now that the codes for everybody else were updated, I checked mine and my code is now up as well. dont know if it was the call, emails, or if it would have been taken care of on its own when the rest of the codes were fixed.

My code that was completely used, still shows up as unused, although I'm not sure it will work on Ticketmaster. Honestly, I didn't try that code for the Oakland presale, although I know it didn't work for the 2010 European shows, because I did try it just to see what would happen.

My used code has never shown up as used (even before this glitch). It does suck that you won't know by tomorrow though.

Thanks for sticking by me too! I guess the codes missing were a blessing in disguise for me since it woke me back up (I was practically falling asleep writing my paper) and I finished the paper in record time

I'm still not sure if I want to renew. I still have 1 ticket left and i'm not sure what i'll do with 3 of the tickets from a new code (as i'm planning on 2 shows). Judging from trying out the general sales this morning, it doesn't seem like it'll be too hard to get GA (knock on wood) maybe the resalers are backing off after not making much if any money off the 1st leg.

FWIW,

I re-upped my membership early this morning so I could get in on the Chicago 2010 show. After paying, getting my email receipt, and my 25% off coupon, the "My Account" page showed:

1. This code has already been used.

2. This code has already been used.

...which was false, because I *had* used up code #1 on the 2 Chicago 2009 shows, but I'd *just bought* the membership upgrade, and was shown that my new code had been used.

So I called U2.com's customer service line. I shite you not, was on hold for 32 minutes. Later I found out that there were 500+ calls coming in at the moment. Yikes!

The rep I spoke to checked out my order number & looked at my account. She said that they (fanfire.com) had been seeing and hearing about issues like mine, folks who re-upped and were shown that there were no valid codes. She assured me (as much as she could) that my code would work; then read it to me, I repeated it to her. So I felt good.

And, just "now," or at least in the last 45 minutes or so, U2.com has updated their website with a news item about this very issue. Sure enough, I logged in to my U2.com account using a different computer, and there it was...my new code next to "2." 1. still showed that the code had been used, which was correct.

So, my advice (if it's already been repeated in this thread, apologies, am on lunch break & don't have time to read 39+ pages) is to clear your web browser's cache or log in to your U2.com account on another Mac or PC, and see if your Account page has changed. Mine did.

I still have 1 unused ticket from my old code so I'll be using that tomorrow and saving the rest for Philly and possible additional dates. Kudos to U2.com on fixing this problem quickly and painlessly

The last time you could also by the letter after U2.

U2A was Horizon, U2B was Breathe, U2C was Boots, and I assume now there is a U2D for Magnificent.

Question for everyone-

I know tastes vary but on average, what are considered the best "seats" to have. Im thinking I have an opportunity to get GA tickets but are they the best or are 1st section tickets the best. I was in the 1st tier at Giants Stadium and they were good seats but the GA looked like a blast. When I ask this question, keep in mind I am not one for sitting at a concert, so the whole "you will have a seat if your not in GA" doesnt hold much value for me.

So, what do you think?

I received an e-mail from ticketmaster (not U2.com) and it reads that they will be doing a pre-sale for all "Meadowlands all access" members, which I am NOT but it still lists Wednesday the 3rd at noon as the pre-sale time and it provides a password. If that is true, thats messed up to any U2.com subscriber who is after the Horizon group. The thing is, I really am not a "member" of this "all access" thing. My sisters boyfriend received an e-mail too, so I hope it s just some BS thing.......

It depends which venue, but if you have not tried GA you should at least once.

Is anyone gonna dare try to use their used up code tomorrow?

i still don't know if I want to renew. and even if I did, i'm not sure where I would use them. I have 1 leftover to use for Anaheim, but i only need 2 for anaheim 2 which isn't definite. What do you guys think demand will be for a second anaheim show? will it be like chicago 2 where I could easily get GA for face value once the show got closer.
