I dunno...i'm sitting here late night drinking whiskey...all i gotta say is...ZOOROPA IS ONE OF U2'S GREATEST ALBUMS. For God's sake...the title track, Numb, Lemon, Stay, Daddy's Gonna Pay, Some Days, The First Time..Jesus Christ The Wanderer...such an amazing album.

Theres something else you can take that will make it climb out of the mock tv screen they hid deep within the mix

its one of their better albums. it came out of nowhere :))):applaud:

nowadays they need four years producing crap

:D:D:D:applaud:

You know I like this song and album, just look at my name and sig.

:D

I would love for them to do another album like this one. I think the experimental stuff paid off and translated well live. I especially like it because Bono creates an alter ego, which kinda adds some drama.

Don't find the album as a whole that spectacular, but damn the title track is an amazing song, U2's finest moment in the 90's.

Wasn't The Wanderer taped at a soundcheck in the USA? I remember it being the first time we saw Rick Rubin with the band, so I imagine it was in the US. Was it at the San Diego warm-ups?

I know it's getting technical, but make that Stay, The First Time and The Wanderer in the US.

And +1,000,000 for Zooropa being incredible. War, Zooropa and Pop changed my life.

It's in the top 4. And all 4 of those at the top are so close to each other that they switch places in within the top 4 from time to time.

UF, JT, AB, Zooropa.

in my top 3
i love how playful this album is

i do guess though that i'm not that big a fan anymore as i used to be
i remember my cousin and me trying to convince my uncle of the genius of starting an album with "Zooropa, Vorsprung durch Technik"
i do still think that's quite brilliant
not only does it have a deeper meaning within the album, it just sounds great
but now i can't deny anymore that "be a winner, eat to get slimmer" is a whole lot less brilliant
if not a bit daft even

i dont have this album:reject:

should i immediately go out and buy it?

i have already got lemon, dirty day, stay, numb

is it worth it?

Zooropa is one of U2's greatest epics, and Stay is every bit as good as One. I think if the lesser tracks had been jettisoned and replaced with better songs, the album could be as good as anything they've put out.
