:applaud: Yea! So happy for everyone there last night! We wish we could've been there as well (especially because I was so excited for a 2nd night set that ended up being a 1st night and same as Gillette 1).

Jean, isn't it just ridiculous to just look up and see Bono right there!? Amazing!

Shawn, more details please when you're all rested up!

It was certainly surreal. I don't think my feet were touching the ground!!!

Funny that I was so into the show that I didn't really notice Bono messing up the 2 songs, although I thought I forgot the words to Stay which is one of my favs, but as it turns out it was him!

LOVED the show!! so much better than NJ 1-- the crowd was so up for it tonight, and were so loud! i've seen 7 shows on this tour (Dublin 1, 2, 3, Chicago 1 & 2, and NJ 1 & 2), and thought this show was the best of all. AMAZING!!

I have to say I agree with you...I saw two Dublin shows this tour as well as NJ1 and this was the best yet  the vibe was incredible and they were on fire last night for sure..

 Hey *Ally*! Not sure if you remember me, but I think we met years ago. Wow, 7 shows. I'm taking it slow this year with 3 shows. LOL. I missed last night's show...had tickets, but had to give them up. Looks like it was a blast!

Looking forward to next week at FedEx Field.

yes, of course i remember you!! yeah, i did 7 this leg-- and i think i'm done. (was thinking of Vegas, but i don't think it's gonna happen.) i hope that you have a *fantastic* time at FedEx Field, and any other shows that you're going to-- hopefully there will be another US leg in 2010, and our paths will cross again. :D

Oh come on, it's Vegas!!

one thing that took away from the show at one point that i have to bring up... we were in Red Zone #2... and during Walk On, a song about and dedicated to an oppressed woman, a man started fighting with a woman. like literally... fighting. first with words... then he pushed her. a friend, i guess, got between them and moved them apart and we figured that was it. then after a minute or so he came back to her and grabbed her by the neck and smacked her, to which she turned and started punching him in the face in an effort to get free. the guy next to me tried to pull them apart while i went and got security, who called for a bunch of state troopers and security guards to come in in force and rip the guy out of the red zone. it was unbelievable...

but what was more unbelievable, sad really, is what happened next... the woman saw the man being pulled out, turned around and started pleading with the head security guard to not kick the guy out. turns out the guy was her husband. the woman follows them out, talks to the cops... and the two walk out, hand in hand, escorted by the police.

They should have timed it better and waited for Stay.

I'll write a detailed review when I get back to Maine tomorrow. I'll also upload some pics. Another person took video and said he'd send it to me as well, so I'll be sure to post that as well. Hey, wasn't last night so much better than Wednesday? Crowdwise and setlist was amazing

Im curious about what you thought about your behind the stage seats. If I recall correctly, thats where youd be for one of the nights.

I wasnt thrilled w. mine for night 2 in Foxboro. Wont be getting them again.

JC can't wait to hear more!! And see pictures! So how long did you have to wait to get that rail spot? Did you camp all day?

I was front rail in front of Edge last night. Show was great and the crowd had a lot of energy. Bono did mess up the lyrics to Streets for the second night in a row, but the song still rocked. One of the people who works for the band gave me one of Bono's water bottles and Brad got me a setlist.

And I was on Adams side!

I just got home from tonight's show (it's 12:45 a.m.)

Were you hanging out in the GA line? I thought I saw you but wasnt sure it was you, I woulda said hi! :(

CosmoKramer--I'm surprised you thought Muse sounded horrible. They melted my face they were rocking so hard! I was dissapointed they couldn't play longer. To each his own, right?

The boys were on fire last night! I would honestly say it's somewhere in my top 3 of U2 concerts. My friend got some great video, I'll post it when I can.

Met Bono before the show! Got a picture of him, he even took my cell phone to talk to someone on the other end. I didn't even ask him. He looked me dead and the eye and said "who is on the phone?" Then he took it and started talking. I shook his hand too. Very awesome moment

SMB

Thats awesome! Were you in the GA line? What time did he come out? I was hoping to get their earlier, but we got caught up in NYC.

Bono always forgets words here and there, but he noticeably, royally fucked up two songs last night...

Stay, as already mentioned... he started skipping verses and was all out of wack and had to walk across the bridge back to the main stage to "get his bearings" (i.e. read off the teleprompter).

ok... it happens. they don't play Stay all the time. but he also fucked up Streets. STREETS! how do you forget a verse in Streets? started coming in with the chorus waaay too early... realized his mistake and picked up the verse midflow. but come on man... Streets? ya' forget the words to Streets?

I forgot about Streets. I was hoping that I just was hearing the crowd yell "Where the Streets have no name" in error as they always do but it WAS him. To be fair, I think because he sings it every night, it might make him too comfortable and he messes up a verse. I still thought it was an amazing show......I keep looking at the pics I took and I realize that it wasnt a concert but an event.

Gonna try to answer three questions at once here. I am at the Charlton Plaza on my way home.

1) GA Line... No, had seats... Went in around 7:15... Oddly Muse didn't take the stage yet

2) Seats Behind the Stages... For Wednesday, second level. Was amazing! I always love being behind the stage, you are closer than most and for a lot less money. Edge and Bono did a lot on the back of the stage too

3) Yeah that was me. It was a surreal moment. Which one were you? Were you one of the ones I talked to? Someone is gonna send me video of the whole meeting with Bono

30 dollar 300 level at the back of the stadium at the very top is still good! Not a bad seat anywhere. I enjoyed seeing it all and it was a lot closer than I thought. Can't wait for Dallas and Houston and Montreal next year!!!! I'll post pics when I get back to Maine and tell the whole Bono phone thing in detail.

I got to the stadium real early, around 3 p.m. I went straight to the GA line to see if I could recognize anyone or if they could recognize me, but had no luck... As soon as they started letting people in, I left the GA line area and went to buy a t-shirt and started waiting outside Gate C.

I really liked Muse. All their songs rocked...

The whole show was absolutely amazing.. U2 had so much energy...

I talked to some fans, but none of them were from here. I saw a couple people in my GA line with Interference and one with an @U2 shirt on, but I didn't want to cut the line or interrupt them.

Hi - I met Bono too - had a pretty long and unbelievable embrace with him, actually. I would love to know if anyone has photos or video of it. I still cannot believe it finally happened!! I got to kiss his neck, tell him that I love him (in his ear) and he was squeezing me really hard - pulling me toward him. A dream come true!!!

Thanks so much!!

I agree too! I coulda saved some moola flying all the way to Dublin if I knew how great it was going to be lol. I got the goosebumps back...missed them from last tour so much. ;)

When Bono flubbed the beginning of Stay, the reason seemed obvious from my perspective (GA near at outer rail). He had just done a full and all-out sprint around the outer rim of the entire stage at the end of "Until the End of the World". He ran much harder than usual (pumped up by UTEOTW I guess). When he finished his lap at the end of that song, Edge had already begun playing the beginning of Stay. Bono was completely exhausted, totally out of breath, and sweating. I seriously thought he was going to pass out (for real). He laid down and didn't get up for a bit. I honestly believe he wasn't thinking straight for over a minute, and was flubbing "Stay". I often see people jokingly write in these forums, "Is Bono OK?" At that moment, he seriously wasn't.

You'll probably see him lap the stage again on tour, but I'm certain you won't see him try it with that level of intensity again. Later, toward the end of "City of Blinding Lights", he had the young boy on stage. He and the boy started to do a little jog around the stage again. The boy started to pick up speed and began to put some distance between him and our man. Bono just stopped and waived him on. It was clear that there was no way he was trying that again anytime soon.

I have seen U2 16 times since 1985 and I had thought that their best shows were behind them. I am pleased they proved me wrong. My God I love this band,I spent half of the show fighting back tears(good ones) and we brought friends of ours who had never seen them, they can't stop talking about the experience.Reminds me of exactly how I felt April 8 1985...Amazing when you stop and think about this for a minute...

Ditto. I brought a U2 newbie (one that really only initially went to see Muse and always said how she didn't like U2, even when I promised her them live was something totally different) and she was completley floored. Seeing her reaction, along without how on fire they were, really brought back some love I was worried had faded.

You know, in looking over pics taken from behind the stage, I think if you are on the second level, it might be better than being lower. You get a better view of the entire stage it seems. I was in the middle of the first level at Gillette, so not very low nor very high (there is no second level behind the stage there) and compared to the photos Ive seen, the stage perspective from back there is different if one is higher up... it looks like you can see what is going on in the front of the stage. Where I was, you really couldnt...they equipment and lower angle blocked alot, unfortunatley.

Super glad that some people DID enjoy their behind stage experience though! :)
