Hello all.
I've created a group on facebook for ticket exchange.
The good thing is all traders will be facebook members,
so you can check their profile before giving them your money or tickets,
making sure everything checks out.

The more people join in, the more tickets will be available,
so you're all welcome to join in now.

Great, now I may have to join facebook.

Someone posted this link to a scalper ticket agency at U2.com. Tour hasn't even been officially announced yet and look at these prices:

U2 at Soldier Field Stadium in Chicago on September 12, 2009

Bastards, I tell you - bastards!:angry::angry::angry::angry::mad::mad::mad:

edit: and look at their slogan: "great tickets from nice people" - ack!

Someone has clearly lost their mind! Who in the hell would pay those kind of prices?! The seats they list are not spectacular ones either.

The sections with those prices is actually very comical. Only an absolute idiot is going to pay over $400 for a ticket in the 400 level.

Great idea :)

joined the facebook group!

so I dont know if I missed something here (and this is becomming a really long thread...)

but, do we know for sure the tour name : "Kiss the future" or "U2360"???

Im hoping for U2360...kiss the future is just...um...well...
:reject:

u2.com and billboard say 360,
so i'll take their word for it.

I don't think either one is the name, I think that U2360 is just the temporary name until they officially release it on Monday.

The facebook thing is cool but we do have a section for ticket swaps once the tour starts up.
Of course, I won't take any chances & will join up asap!
And now that I think about it the facebook thing will probably include those who don't come here regularly - good idea!

Assuming Sep 12 is truly the opening date, then i'll get to see my first Cubs game on the 11th!

Anyone know if Soldier Field would open lots early in the morning for a non game day. It looks like public transportation may be the best bet.

"Kiss the Future" and "Fuck the Past" were written on the front and back of a pair of women's panties, right? Wasn't that the original story, somehow U2 related... was it detailed in Bill Flanagan's book? Crap, I can't remember.

I like Kiss the Future way better than U2360. I agree that U2360 seems like a placeholder, until Monday's announcement. They already did U23D. 360 seems a little bland/repetitive.

Does the name really matter? ARe you only going if you like the name?

They could call it "Crappy Tour" and I'd still go.

But KISS THE FUTURE is the better of the two choices.

I don't care about the name, but first time or casual fans may show more interest. If the 360 stage is revolutionary, like 3D was, it makes sense to call it that in order to sell more tickets.

October 3ish - Charlotte
October 6ish - Atlanta
A nice string in Florida
October 9ish - Tampa
Miami maybe after or before Tampa

Great, they're playing the southeast during the "take vacation and you won't have a job" time of the year for me :grumpy:

This means only one thing . . . road trip! :hyper: I hear the Midwest/Northeast is chilly in the fall . . .

I don't know about when the lots may open...anytime I've been to Soldier Field, I have taken the orange line train to the Roosevelt stop and walked from that point...about 10-15 minute walk. A lot easier to take public transportation in my opinion.

Kiss the Future, by itself, is the worst tour name I've heard in years. I'm hoping for 360 or anything else. Sounds like a warmed over Celine Dion B-side. Gag.
