Just reading the article about the new DVD on U2log.com and it made me think about U2 on the web over the years... for those of you long enough in the tooth as me here's my recollection.. feel free to give your own interpretations. This is just a bit of fun.. having checked some of the 'Then' sites now look really great! a re-discovery!

(bear in mind I only discovered interference.com a few years ago so take this as an inpartial view .. I will now of course assume interference as 'all of the above' ! ;) )

U2 Daily News Updates (i.e. where to find out what is really going on right now:

THEN: youtwo.net
NOW: PLEBA (a post about meeting Bono at HQ on Tuesday and he said "yaddayadda" .. that's where the truth is!)
SERIOUSLY: interference.com

irreverent, unpredictable & essential:

THEN: zoonation.com
NOW: U2log.com

Current, editorially focussed and consistent:

THEN: atu2.com
NOW: atu2.com

The site with photos and news on where the band were 20 mins ago (but written in a language I don't understand):

THEN: u2guatemala.com
NOW: u2eastlink.com

Official news 2 weeks after we all know about i already:

THEN: U2.com
NOW: U2.com

The OOps I forgot about that site must visit:

THEN: U2station.com / U2dublin.com
NOW: U2exit.com

Sites that you forget exsited: wherethesitehasnoname.com and that one that had 'womanfish' on it ....

what have I missed??
