I was joking before, but not now my friend. I am not ashamed of my opinion at all. I will not, by no means, make any excuses for my thinking. I don't know if you are a guy or girl, but if you think what Beyoncé does is normal, we have two very different opinions on what a real lady, or a real female popstar should behave.
If I want to see a woman dance like that Id go to a strip club.

So she dresses like that and I am misogynist?

I believe that Beyoncé, or Miley Cyrus, or Rihanna, they all represent the worst of North American culture has to offer to the world. USA gave us Elvis, REM, even Madonna for Christ sake. This female artists I cited are the worst examples for the youth we could have. And a small detail, their "music" is garbage. Its worthless.

If you want your girlfriend or your daughter to act like this, all I have to say I am sorry for you. The last thing I am is a misogynist, they are.

We are here discussing U2. Great art. A band that inspired generations.
They write songs that will live forever.
I just don't listen to "Crazy in love". I think its awful. Plain and simple
I am more than sure, she, and those other singers, if it weren't for al this big machine behind them, without all those sexual context, they wouldn't be anything more than mere crap acts. And it does bother me YES, when U2 wants to ride in this mainstream train all those trash artists are now the leading figures. Look at what the early 90's represented to us and you will understand my frustration.

I am grown enough for you now?

You claim people were discriminating against you because you're from Brazil, and then make borderline racist comments about celebrities.

Bravo.

A secondary issue is how you feel that women shouldn't be allowed to express themselves as sexual beings and be daring in a fashion sense. Provocative does not equal pornography.

Madonna was doing this stuff 20-30 years ago; it's nothing new.

Your puritan attitude is more disgusting than anything I've seen from these women. And I'm wondering if you were saying the same thing about Bono when he was doing pelvic thrusts into the camera during the live show.

No you are a child. Please stop while you are behind.

A man telling a woman how she should act and behave and dress and express herself is precisely misogynistic.

If you want to talk about U2, then do so and stop with the rest of the bullshit.

Madonna is one of the greatest female artists of all time. Her music was good. And then, only after the good music, came all the provocative stuff. Please don't compare a hitmaker, groundbreaking artist like Madonna with Beyoncé.
And please, look for the meaning of the word RACIST before calling me one.
All the "Brazilian" stuff I talked earlier was a joke. Sorry if you couldn't catch the joke. Not my fault.

And go listen to Sade, that's provocative and tasteful at the same time. That's a woman being really sexy when singing.

The arguments you make are akin to excusing rapists because "she dressed like a slut". Part of what Beyonce and the like do is take the power back. You point to one sexual female performer, and I will point you to 5 male artists that use sex as a way of subordinating women. Women aren't allowed to be sexual? Is that it? Or is it that you have dug a pretty big hole with your own prejudices that you aren't man enough to put down the shovel and climb out?

People calling me "lonley Brazillian" and "Brazillian toddler", that's racist.

No, it isn't.

Simply naming a person's country of origin is not racist. Ascribing negative traits ASSOCIATED WITH that country is racists. The negative traits are about how you are acting, not about Brazil.

For example, if someone chastised you because marital rape is not enforced in Brazil, that could be racist.

If someone belittled you because men can remarry immediately following a divorce in Brazil, but women have to wait 270 days, that could be racist.

If someone decided to frame you in a negative light because of rampant domestic violence against women in Brazil, that could be racist.

I'm starting to understand where your views on Beyonce come from...

Well I'm glad we closed out the other drama so we could make room for this.

What power? Sex power? So when she turns 60 then will she loose her power, you are telling me that. Woman are clever, more than men, they should fight for their power on many other ways than sex. Sex is a vulgar way to claim power. That exactly the problem, we are telling our youth that power trough sex is good. That not good. Power trough knowledge, good manners, evolving to be greater humans. That's real power. We man were wrong for so many years, please women, don't make the same mistakes. You have the chance to do good. The world doesn't need Beyonces. The world needs more Oprahs.

Such a basic and poor understanding of the reasoning for it. Power is claimed because men set the standards with sexualisation. Men tell women what to be, how to dress, how to think, how to act. Men expect things from women, and women can never expect anything back. Men are in total control of women culturally, and usually through a man's constant desire for gratification. Beyonce can do this because she is doing it on her terms. Despite men's standards, women are not allowed to be as sexual as them. Women who are sexual are called sluts (or prostitutes). She wants to be held to the same standard as men, and not subject to the vile and ignorant bile that people like you throw out without understanding it.

The world doesn't need yet another man telling women which approved, non-threatening methods they can use to express themselves.

Actually you are wrong. The simple fact that you addressed to me as a Lonely Brazillian shows that you are a racist because the fact that I am from Brazil doesn't add any useful information to what you meant.
The right way, not racist way to address me in that case would be lonely guy, lonely douchebag, lonely troll, and so on.

And if you implied something with those "facts" you cited above, you are ill informed about my country.

a) I wasn't the one that called you that. Get your facts straight. Or do all Australians/Americans/Europeans look alike to you?

b) The definition of racism isn't that someone uses a term arbitrarily. That in many cases is what prevents a statement being racist.

c) Which of those 'facts' was wrong?

Actually it is. You can call me anything, but when you refer to my race to define me, then you are a racist.

WTF is that????

Brazillian is not a race, it's a nationality. Very basic difference between the two.

Also, your nationality is a FACT. If someone called me an Australian, that isn't racist, because it is TRUE!

For fuck's sake, you have the biggest persecution complex I have ever seen on this site.
