I kinda cringe at it now, but I think I'm going to love it just wafting around in the background on a hot summer day, having a few beers around the pool at home with friends. In other words, it's not an "Intensely listening through the headphones" song, but I categorize it as a grower-in-the-future, probably the last 'growth' on the album, and that will come when it gets hot (and I get drunk)...

Does it not seem that U2's music has such a depth to it that all their songs are growers? I think the only songs that haven't grown on me are Wild Honey (although the acoustic version that featured just Edge and Bono was really good...I just dislike the album version), Elevation (all the woo's bother me, though live it does a good job of getting the crowd excited), and Electric Storm just remains kinda so-so. Of course, a lot of their b-sides are so-so as well, but that doesn't really matter.
All the songs on this album are growers, certainly some have a different growing pattern and start point, but they all get better. And, as you can tell from above, I usually find that I don't actually "get" the music until I hear it live. All of their songs are better live. Most bands tour so they can make albums; U2 is really sort of the opposite.
