Bono looked good. I liked the way his rough, masculine voice sounded next to the Corr girl's.

Aside from Bono, my favorite part of the concert was the traditional Irish song. I think it was called Joy of Life or something. Anyway, it was really good.

Okay.. does anyone know when the live special was recorded? I heard it was in 1999, but that sounds a bit too old to be showing it now..

It was filmed last 25 January 2002, at Ardmore Studios.

Apparently, it was directed by Hamish Hamilton (same director of the Elevation Boston vid), so you can somewhat see the similarities in style.

So, yes, the Corrs gals are very beautiful. But am I the only one who finds their music hopelessly boring and passionless? I liked the traditional stuff that showed off their fine musicianship, but in terms of pop songs...geez, just slightly better than Wilson Phillips.

Wow. I taped it and watched it last night. That song is amazing ( "when the stars go blue"). Andrea Coor and Bono really do the song justice. If you haven't heard the original song, it is on Ryan Adam's CD entitled Gold. It is an amazing CD itself, as Ryan Adams is an unbelievable songwriter. But I must be selfish and say that I enjoy hearing Bono sing it more than Ryan. Oh , and watching it too..........

Well, I loved the performance of Bono singing with the Corrs family. I only watched it on Real video, as we dont have VH1 here.

Hey Amanda, I'm curious to know your opinion on the 2nd video. The slow dancing in the end of When the Stars Go Blue, how about that? It gets me chills...it's like one of the captions of the pictures on VH1 site...an Irish girl's dream...any girl's dream is better IMO.

I have Summer Wine playing in a loop and Bono's voice gets me every time, it makes my heart swell and melts me all over.
What a sexy voice!!!
And Bono's badass-vaquero moves, ayayayayaya!!!!!!
I hate to admit but Andrea sounds really good with our Bono.
Hey Bono, I have Summer Wine, want some?
The lyrics are very sexy too, I had never heard the song before and I had to go look for the lyrics.
Here they are, Bono did a couple of changes to them tho:

Summer Wine

Strawberries cherries and an angel's kiss in Spring
My summer wine is really made from all these things

I walked in town on silver spurs that jingled to
A song that I had only sang to just a few
She saw my silver spurs and said, "Lets pass some time
And I will give to you summer wine
Ohh-oh-oh summer wine"

Strawberries cherries and an angel's kiss in spring
My summer wine is really made from all these things
Take off your silver spurs and help me pass the time
And I will give to you summer wine
Ohhh-oh summer wine

My eyes grew heavy and my lips they could not speak
I tried to stand up but I could not find my feet
She reassured me with an unfamiliar line
And then she gave to me more summer wine
Ohh-oh-oh summer wine

Strawberries, cherries and an angel's kiss in Spring
My summer wine is really made from all these things
Take off your silver spurs and help me pass the time
And I will give to you summer wine
Ohh-oh-oh summer wine

When we woke up, the sun was shinin' in our eyes
My silver spurs were gone, my head felt twice its size
She took my silver spurs, a dollar and a dime
And left me cravin' for more summer wine
More summer wine

Strawberries, cherries and an angel's kiss in Spring
My summer wine is really made from all these things
Take off the silver spurs and help me pass the time
And I will give to you my summer wine
Ohh-oh summer wine

Awww, that's a Nica-Girl dream too!
Did you notice Bono playing with Andrea's hand towards the end?
He's such a "touchy" kind of person.

Here are the lyrics to WTSGB...

"When The Stars Go Blue"

Dancin' where the stars go blue
Dancin' where the evening fell
Dancin' in your wooden shoes
In a wedding gown

Dancin' out on 7th street
Dancin' through the underground
Dancin' little marionette
Are you happy now?

Where do you go when you're lonely
Where do you go when you're blue
Where do you go when you're lonely
I'll follow you
When the stars go blue

Laughing with your pretty mouth
Laughing with your broken eyes
Laughing with your lover's tongue
In a lullaby

Where do you go when you're lonely
Where do you go when you're blue
Where do you go when you're lonely
I'll follow you
When the stars go blue
The stars go blue, stars go blue

No, you're not seeing things. I think I saw that too. Yup, must admit that they sound good together.

Voices brimming with emotion and sensuality...

No, but actually, it is quite confusing. For all you know, it might really be spoons.

LOL... only if it was Adam coming in to town.

I love BOTH songs so much! I think their voices go very well together.

Of course I bought the cd well just because of seeing the VH1 special, and I enjoy all the songs.
