Youreally had to be at the concerts in the 80's to appreciate 40.
Fans holding aloft lighters and matches and then to leave the stadium with fans still chanting the closing lyrics was something to be heard. Amazing stuff!!!!

40 is one of my favorites largley due to it's simplicity.
It puts a peaceful and cautiously optimistic end to an album that's mostly about conflict and unrest. The source, Psalms 40, is a prayer of appreciation for god's blessings during troubled times and a call to face whatever the future brings with strong faith.
