I notice a couple of you have ceramic tiles in rooms where I'd never see them around here. Is this a West Coast thing or something?

I've never seen tiles in somebody's family room or living room. We have hardwood but a lot of people have carpeting too.

well upstairs where the bedrooms are we have hardwood,
outdoors, and in the family room we have that cermaci type tile for the "mexican" vibe, our families' houses in mexico have tile indoors and out as well cause it was very traditional back then and my mom prefers it,

i like the look of it, my only complaint is that i dont like sweeping i much rather vacuum since its easier
