My guess would be that when the presentation mock-up photos were being edited, Apple was in negotiations with, er, Apple.

However since there was no minor tidbit announcement about The Beatles and iTunes today, I don't think that the negotiations were successful, or they're not finalized yet.

Beatles on iTunes: Steve’s slides were loaded with Beatles references. Album covers, Beatles songs playing, etc. They were everywhere. Too plentiful to miss. And yet, no announcement was made about the Beatles collection being available on the iTunes store—was there some sort of last-minute legal hold-up?

The hold up has nothing to do with legal issues........the Beatles albums are all being remastered and they won't be released digitally until then.

I've heard that since November, I wonder when the songs will be ready.
