Shut the fuck up Lance, you never like anything the rest of us li.....oh.

Scumbo, I did not know that and in general that's pretty cool but I pretty much refuse to watch stuff on my laptop unless I'm in an airport/traveling, etc.

I'm really anti-being able to watch the show a week early. Where's the fun in that? I don't know what the logic behind this decision was.

I don't know what the logic behind this decision was.

Obvious marketing ploy to get people to sign up for and use HBO GO, so that all their investment efforts in creating it don't go to waste.

Anyways, I'll happily watch it on HBO GO on Sunday and be a week ahead of the rest of you.

Looks like their little marketing ploy to get HBO GO traffic wasn't prepared for, as the site it taking ages to even open up, and then seems to crash when you attempt to log in. Silly HBO.

This week's episode was freaking awesome.

I finally got HBO GO to work last night, and am now living a week in the future. :shh:

Same here. Plus, then I'd have to wait two weeks for the next new episode...or will this watch-ahead trend continue? I like staying in on Sunday nights and having a good show to watch, pathetic as that may sound.

See, I'm so pathetic that I'll probably still watch the episode next Sunday, even though I've already seen it.

I'm pretty sure it was just a one time thing, Joyful.

That dude was a douche.

I really like how it seems that "anything can happen" so far. I'm so used to series like 24, where it takes all season for something significant to actually happen. Here, crazy stuff has happened in all of the recent episodes (and in next week's), and nothing stops and obsesses over it like in other shows. Awesome.

I watch Thrones episodes twice, I also watched all the Rubicons twice.

A few series are worth a rewatch. So many popular shows are not even worth one viewing.

I watched a few Rubicon episodes twice.....and I've watched at least Game of Thrones ep's twice....I'll be re-watching Sunday's for sure.

But....come on, everyone hug ELFA.

Considerable step up in the last two episodes... Littlefinger is another nicely done character.

"You don't fight with honour."

"No...he did."

Well, minus the chit chat scene with Robert and Cersei and the Renly scene.

OK y'all I finally got my HBO subscription sorted out at my new place, so I'll be catching up on Treme and delving into this starting tonight.

Watched the first three episodes of this over the weekend. Enjoying it very much so. It's addictive, and I think I might try to watch a couple more eps tonight.

I think it does a great job of using traditional, old school, simple storytelling tactics. That first episode sets everything up so easily for the viewer, all of the characters, their relationships, the atmosphere, etc. For example, right off the bat they've made it very easy to root for the Stark family, and root against the Lannisters. It's a nice good/evil dynamic (even though I know it could get more complicated than that down the line). It's strong writing, the way they've introduced us to this world. Especially Winterfell. I think some of it might be a bit obvious to those that have already read the books, but for someone like me who hasn't read them, and who hadn't even heard of the story until the show started, that shit is appreciated.

- The opening sequence of the series is pretty brilliant, and a great attention grabber. Zombie snow creatures that will fuck you up and cut your head off! Sweet, I'm in.

- I thought the end of the first episode was a good "cliffhanger" moment, and it did take me by surprise.

I was all like "Did they just kill off this cute kid in the fucking first episode?' I was happy to see that Bran survived the fall.

- Sean Bean still has great screen presence.

- Arya is my favorite character.

- I loved King Robert's extended monologue in the third episode about the first man he ever killed. I was grinning like an idiot during the whole thing. "WINE!"

- I find myself not nearly as interested in all the Dothraki stuff as I am with the stuff related to the Starks. Sure, that stunning blonde girl gets naked a lot, and that's awesome, but that whole plot line is certainly not what has gotten me hooked on the show. I'm guessing the plots will collide at some point but, yeah.

- I have a question. And it might be a really stupid one. But, in the first episode when they encounter the baby wolves in the forest, someone says "There are five wolves, that's one for each of the Stark children." And then we see Snow getting the "runt." We have Bran, Sansa, Arya, the older son...who's the fifth Stark child? It's not Snow, right, because he's not a Stark? What did I miss there?

You're missing the youngest Stark, Rickon. He's barely in the show thus far.

Glad you're digging it! You know how it goes with book devotees....you either love the adaptation or find all sorts of shit to pick on.....well, for me, nothing to pick on yet, really....love the tone, casting, sets, everything, really.

I felt that way at first too. The last number of episodes have completely changed that though, some awesome stuff going on there.

Question about the last episode...

I apologize that I can't remember his name, but the guy from the 7 Kingdoms, who's living with the Dothraki, who was exiled for selling slaves was just pardoned, do we know why yet? Just wondering if it was something I missed, or something that hasn't been explained yet.

Jorah is working as a spy for the 7 kingdoms to regain his lands, well that was my understanding, I thought he was involved with the poisoning plot, initially looking torn about interfering or not, due to his growing love of Danerys he decided to step in

It was awfully soft porny Sunday night.

And I love the Dothraki side of the story. I was hooked from the first episode.

I wasn't completely sold after the first couple of episodes, but after seeing the third, I'm all in now. The one thing that bothers me is the passage of time... the whole thing thus far feels like it has taken place over the course of two weeks at most, yet they drop in bits of dialog about months passing as if a month was like 3 days.

Just caught up with three episodes, now I've just finished #5. If anything happens to Arya I'm probably going to cry, she is cute as a button and totally awesome.
