I kind of think it would be cool to come down the aisle with the streets organ intro.. Nick sort of laughed it off.. but I was serious..

Magnificent as the song when we are married and walk out of the church..

I remember Brendan Morrison! That would be so cool if he was back on the Canucks!:hyper:

RB - have you guys set a date yet? I think I remember hearing you were engaged, but I forget...

I'm really crossing my fingers. He's a lot older (well, in hockey terms - he's only 35) than the majority of the team, but if he can keep up with the younger guys, he's going to be a great addition. So far it looks like he can! :up:

The goal song has been different each time tonight, but the last goal that was scored got Elevation. Woohoo!

Burst mode is what you call it :D Its great.
I have the same function on my camera's
on the point and shoot one but, I don't ever use it becuase the screen turns blank when using it.
I so wish I could take my DSLR and just make one huge porn photobook of a gig.
I might get a better point and shoot camera with more zoom next year :evil:
To get some better stuff for any upcoming EU gigs.

:lol: definately go for the goal of getting a better zoom!
never heard the "Burst Mode"term. But, oh that's rahter a problem; the black screen- how could tell what your last pic was in order to set up ofr eiter for another round with a different person, or swithcing to single pics! :huh:

Oh, sad!! I've been planning to buy a DSLR at the end of this year, since I'm a photography nerd and my poor little point-and-shoot is

still having a lot of trouble with the signal :sigh:

Deeg/sorry you had a bad day at work :( :hug:

Thora/ glad you got your Hockey on! :D

:wave::wave::wave: to everyonje else in case i can't back in agaain if any posts for the next 1 1/2 hours........

LOST S.6 reruns started later than even last week's late start.
they're showing the episoide where
we see Jocob's & MIB origin story
. I think there's one more eps before the final one which being 2 hours will be the last reruns. Unless they start all over again!

Just watched the finale of Lost and I'm a blubbering mess. :lol: What am I going to do with myself, now that I've watched all the episodes?! :sad: :lol:

I've had way too much wine tonight. My face feels like it's burning off. :lol: Whenever I drink my cheeks get really flushed, and tonight my face feels like it's on fire. All the crying just added to the redness/puffiness. :lol: Maybe I'll go wash my face and that will help cool it down.

ETA - and you're watching Lost too, dazz! :D Yeah, there's just one more episode after that one before it's the finale. :)

:angry: couldn't get back in here
:| and now the TV broadcast signal has chaged or WHAT ever i just lost the last regular eps's signal 10 mins ago right after the first 5 mins or so
nothing I do seems to make it come back...... :madspit:

:hug: thora........ i don't think i ever ha that much wine to do what it's doing to you?:hug:

hi:wave: domo & cori if you are there! :)

Some of the post got lost in all the signal flaP.....

Oh, sad!! I've been planning to buy a DSLR at the end of this year, since I'm a photography nerd and my poor little point-and-shoot is AWESOME but outdated. Plus since I go to a lot of concerts, I want something that will work better in the lower light conditinos. But I'm not sure if I want to risk trying to sneak my snazzy new camera in!

Well :hmm: with the conditions you set up for Rock Concert phototography - better low light sensitivity etc, and yet not taking in snazzy new camera...... I don't think you could then bring a DSLR in re security.

The only solution i can think of for a fan... would be to upgrade to a better "point & shoot" that also gave you many more options for manual setting, and a longer zoom range.

ANd one SPECIAL feature that might help you - tho you sure might know this already!:D

When I chose my film SLR (HS grad present>way back) I chose it because it was about the only one of that price range that had a 2 mode Internal Light-meter! One for general and one (in the center of the viewfinder) spot reading!
I took ( & take) alot of photos in daylight, but also planned to use the camera for concerts back then - alot!!

The Cannon PowerShot my sis gave me when she upgraded had a spot meter on it (1 of 3 choices). I hardly used the spot meter in the months between ?Jan last year when she gave it to me and late Sept's '09 U2 Concert at Giants Stadium wher

and still Some More of the post got lost in all the signal flap.....

...... I hardly used the spot meter in the months between ?Jan last year when she gave it to me and late Sept's '09 U2 Concert at Giants Stadium where I did my first GA.

I forgot about the spot meter in GA until pretty late into the show, and I think by that time they didin't come back around on the circle (I was right at the Outer Rail), or came back SO quickly after I had remembered about the spot meter that aaI didin't have time to change it! One thing on the film camera it was much easier to chnge from regular to spot metering.

I didn't think to use it on them when they were back on the main stage. :der: a few of those might have come better...
I didn't have a big Optical zoom 4x ..but grateful i had something!

If you want to ask me about my photography experience in GA (at front rail) aask away!

I had a good 10 solid years of Rock Concert photography with my film SLR for my own enjoyment from very close medium-small clubs (some of the original CBCG Punk/New Bands, up to being in like row 5 -20 in both theatres and the MSG and other arenas, as well as running down to the front row aisles, and being to stay there for a while to practically the whole show! :drool:

This was when Concert Photography was way more lenient..in that you weren't allowed to use a an electronic flash/shoe horn - the one that would latch on topp of the SLR..but if yiu took youe SLR and started photographing with out the EF, then I did through whole concerts at my seat (and had zoom len), or allowed to stay for awhile up in the aisle i mwntioned.

Sometimes it was frustrating , but alot of time it was great fun!

I've never actually seen a single episode of Lost. I know, I know. :reject: I don't even know how I missed it all this time. Maybe when I have more time on my hands I should go to the beginning and see if I like it?

All this stupid math stuff in front of me is making me wonder which member of U2 would be best at giving homework help. :lol:

:sad: I've only watched the finale of LOST a few times now because each time I do I sob my eyes out even harder than the last time. I'm such a sucker for the music and everything coming together in those final moments... I think the last 5 minutes has no dialogue (save for that 1 line from Locke I think), only Giacchino's gorgeous score. The man is a genius the way he blended the different characters themes from over the years... how he didn't win an Emmy is beyond me. Stupid academy. :tsk:

/emotional LOST outburst :reject:

:cute::cute::cute ::cute : Aww it's too cute! And i like that other one too. :shifty:

:D Ok I'm going I'm going! :wave:

Night. :wave::hug:

^ Booo to work. :madwife:

OMG my cousin and her husband have completely spammed my FB photos from Brussels saying I should sell some to a photo agency. Not sure they're THAT good but it has still made me completely overwhelmed and insanely happy as I would LOVE to get into Photography. :love::reject: * slightly misty eyed* :lmao:

My cousin said she can put me in touch with a photo agency but would recommend doing a photography course so I could then try get photo passes. :shifty: Shame I can't afford a photography course. :lol:

*Goes back to uploading the pics onto tour thread* :shifty:

Ok. As I was posting above message she has now said she will look into finding out ways round a photography course. Maybe she knows someone who can show me the ropes. :shifty :

:hyper::hyper::hyper::hyper::hyper:

:faint:

*runs back to photo thread*

That's so cool! Your Athens pics were :drool:

VP. :kiss::hyper:

They're in the tour photo thread. Well some of them. Not finished uploading yet. :shifty:

So many. :crazy::lol:

There's a few on my FB which are of Brussels so will send you a link to that later.

Thanks! I need to do a big catch up in the tour thread. I did a week or so ago, and it took me so long. I seem to be running about a thread behind, these days.
