when I have to start calling someone, i.e. "Mr Doone" instead of calling them by their first name.

what I meant was, for example, my dad's sailing buddy(the guy that replaced me

) is also a professor at my school and so I have to call him Mr Doone, instead of Bob, when I see him on campus

I hate that! I haven't got used to having mature-aged students in my lectures at uni and having to call them by their first names! It's wrong!
