Just heard the album in its entirety. Wow. Best album since Achtung Baby. This album is all about heart, man. They put everything into it. Moment of Surrender is an instant classic. Terrific!!!

Apparently the 256 kbps rip, was actually transcoded up from a 192 kbps rip.

So that may be why you are seeing a discernable difference in quality.
(Or the encoder used for the 256 kbps rip was crap).

Cause a well encoded 256 kbps MP3 is near transparent for most people.
How many people have noticed a difference with this 320 kbps rip? (though any difference could be due to a louder encoding)

No it's not that better, i just heard some parts of songs in BBC4 and it sound so much better than mp3 at 320 that i have and it makes a lot of diference in the way i judge the songs...
