As bad as last night was, things are really looking great for Carlton when you look at the ladder. 2nd place, with the best defense in the league points-wise (and it's not even close) and the third best offense. Next round we have St. Kilda and we're getting Judd, Waite and Yarran back  Hopefully we can wake up.

Despite our performance over the last three rounds, I'm not sure Essendon deserves to be in the top four.

Geelong and Collingwood both in the top eight now, so some normalcy seems to be restored ... Hawthorn remain down in 11th though.

And I thought the article about Primus on The Age was bad enough. Seriously, ONE bad loss and suddenly Primus has to go? This is just absolute silliness. We've barely begun the season and so far the Richmond game looks like an anomaly. Revivals aren't linear processes anyway.

Grand bonus: 5000 more tickets to competing clubs

The AFL says up 70 per cent of the crowd at the game will be either a club member, AFL member or MCC member.

So ≥30% of the crowd will still be corporate tosspots?

Absolutely insane that when you have a stadium with a capacity of 100,000, it's still somehow impossible to accommodate all club members who want to go to the grand final, even though it's impossible for any combination of two clubs to have more members than there are seats at the MCG.
