The power to turn back TEEEEEEIIIIIIIIIMMMMMEEEEAAAAA
I guess I'm going to have to keep listening to Bon Jovi's DirecTV commercial song to hold me over until the new single arrives.
I just got that fucking commercial out of my head. The power to turn back TEEEEEEIIIIIIIIIMMMMMEEEEAAAAA
AB is one example that makes me wonder why we’re sometimes insistent that continued work on an album is a bad thing. If that were the case, then we’d be talking about an album that consisted of songs like Heaven and Hell, I Feel Free, She’s Gonna Blow Your House Down, Wake Up Dead Man (w/ the Spinning Head), etc. Maybe not too bad in the long run, but we would’ve missed out on a lot in the long run too.
I mean, he wouldn't post a clip of it being born as in just starting the process now. We've known for almost two years about Songs of Experience.
It's likely beginning the process of mastering, if I had to guess. Maybe a few more tweaks here and there, but that on the heels of Adam's "hit the red button jack knife" post make me think they're just doing the mastering/overdubs/ final touches now.
(But what does 'hitting a red button' refer to?)
Good shout. They've been working on it at least since the I&E tour began, and Ryan Tedder mentioned how it as was almost entirely new songs that have been written this year, so they certainly haven't just begun work.
And that video wasn't of them jamming/sketching out ideas, it looked like editing/mastering a tune that was already recorded.
So I agree "being born" probably means SoE being wrapped up.
(But what does 'hitting a red button' refer to?)
We know they've 'planned and canned' albums at the last minute before, so let's just hope they don't get cold feet, and actually get this out by the end of this year!
But the super deluxe edition would've contained Salome I through XVIII
At a stretch you could also argue that other back end things are already done, like the photo shoot done on the beach in Holland at the end of last year, which was said to be for SOE?

also, an aside - is u2interference.com dead? I dont mean this forum, but our host blog. I accidentally navigated to the blog page for the first time in forever, and was surprised to see featured stuff like the Rose Bowl DVD trailer, and a review for Reflektor
You're currently imprisoned in Siberia and being subjected to torture?

I wish I can really turn back time
This community is obviously great, but the actual website needs to be completely redone (probably replaced with something really simple), and the forum should probably be upgraded to something that doesn't look like 1997. I'm not sure who even owns us anymore, though... just that I'll probably pay them $15/year until I die.

Cool it there R Kelly..
Is the premium user still a thing? Had no idea.. Worth it? I basically post in this subforum only, so I guess not.
Shame about the website tho. I feel like the nail in the coffin was the attempt to broaden readership with the move to a pop culture fanzine, rather than a u2 fan page..
U2interference.com Should probably just be a portal to sign up.. With overview of top trending posts. A reddit style front page.
Still no posts from Adam about traveling/recording...
And the purpose of those social media posts is probably Guy Oseary telling the band to be relevant and connect with fans in a newer way, whilst also maintaining public presence (any album teasing is a happy side effect). With the concert film out, they're largely achieving that anyway, so Facebook posts aren't need until the film is old news.
