Lol I went to Vegas with a few friends when I was 24. It was very anti-climactic when we realized we couldn't afford to do anything out there. I gambled away maybe $50 and thought "well fuck this!" We tried going out to some bars, and we couldn't even afford to get very drunk. I vowed to return someday when I had more money... 10 years later I still don't feel like I have enough money!

Vegas can be very expensive, or it can be very cheap.

If you're trying to do it cheap and you find it to be too expensive, you're going to the wrong places.

There's oodles and oodles of free and cheap booze on the strip. And it's even cheaper downtown.

Here is the key to Vegas:

-Go for 2 nights. No need for 3 and Vegas isn't going anywhere.

-Your trip cost $400-$600. Bring $400-$600 to spend on food, drinks, entertainment, & gambling.

-If you want to gamble but don't want to spend $ bet on sports. Your bet can last 3-4 hrs vs. 1-2 minutes on a table or slot.

-Go see a U2 concert there. Great time!

Here is the key to Vegas; sign up for every player rewards card. Everyone. MLife. Total Rewards. Whatever Wynn has. All of em. And use em when you play. Even if you're playing low stakes blackjack or penny slots.

You get great discounts on rooms just for having the card, and if you actually spend a decent amount of money... and I'm only talking a couple hundred per trip... you'll get some very low rates and even comp rooms.

Key #2... Stock your room. Get your alcohol ahead of time at one of the millions of Walgreen's. You can bring your own beer into the casino and even out onto the strip it's self. And if you sit at a slot machine slow playing $20 dollars, you're going to have a waitress come by at least once for a free drink.

Key #3... Get up when you're ahead and have a loss limit. Don't gamble drunk.

Key #4... Have a clue. Don't sit down at a table that has a big sign advertising $5 blackjack. That table has terrible rules and a natural likely pays out 6:5 instead of 3:2. And if you play the big wheel, just throw your money into the ocean.

Every game has a house advantage. The best bets are blackjack at 3:2 if you know perfect basic strategy (if you don't, buy a card in the gift shop... it's legal to use)... Craps... Poker, if you know how to play... And video poker.

If there's a big neon sign advertising the game, stay the fuck away.

Key #5... Take the WAX bus from McCarran. It's $2 bucks and will drop you off right by the MGM/Trop or NYNY. If you take a cab, don't let them long haul you. If they say the highway is quicker, they're lying.


Key #6... There's no sex in the champagne room.

In all seriousness, if they do intend to release another album in association with the next tour, that'd be the logical time to release it. It seems like there are no rumors for dates in early 2016, as Australia seems rumored for early 2017. So that might mean a first half of 2016 release, and do Europe and North America again, then South America, Australia, Asia, Africa, etc in 2017.

I like to think they really committed to finishing SOE after the European leg and pushed back the Australia Tour so they could finish it before the 2016 legs. New material is working well and I'm sure it's given them their creative mojo back.
