They didn't pull out that many surprises to my knowledge.
I think you have to admit that seeing New Years Day in Poland must have been spectacular.

You know, trying to surprise the band. This kind of collective action does not happen very often.
Not even in Denver...
I don't see any "our fans are better than yours" debate at all! We were comparing setlists at first, and later on venue's and other stuff (that you brought up by the way)...Chizip said:
i'm hearing a lot of Europeans acting superior in here
annnnd, we were talking about setlists and for some reason europeans wanted to turn it into a "our fans better than yours debate"

I'm just saying that the more you bitch about the other leg, the more jealous you are IMO... I'm bithing a bit about the Italian DVD recording in another topic... And yes I'm jealous!
And I'll be straight up; I like the venues better in the States and the fact that they rotate the Boy songs more... But that's it really... But the 25 song setlist in Amsterdam 3 that I've witnessed in a totally dark environment with a top-crowd and a U2 on flames makes up for that all the way...

See I understand this totally... I loved the Elevation gig's in the arena's i've been too... But I also like stadium gig's... And I have the feeling that not everyone here understands what (besides different size crowds and stage) this means... I also thought U2 would change the set's more often in Europe, but the production turned out much bigger then expected up front... And that means that you can't do the many different things each night.. Willie ones said something like this about U2 playing stadiums : "There is no way that Bono comes up to me with 'Oh can we do this'... No! You just have to know what's coming"... A pitty, but it's proven on Popmart with the same setlist for months...cmb737 said:
Yeah, no doubt, Amsterdam 3 was a son-of-a-bitch. BUT, I am sure you would completely agree that a majority of the shows (both legs) have not been of that caliber.
I know you are talking to Chizip, but I am not one bit jealous. I don't really feel I am missing anything. The whole stadium thing to me seems more of a hassle and an inconvenience. 20,000 fans to me is a bitch to work around, let alone 120,000. Yeah, I would go see U2 in a stadium here, but I am not going to fly to Poland to see them.

You know, sitting down during Elevation. Big bathroom rush during Desire.
In general, just standing there as if watching court TV.
some of the fans actually seem quite excitedU2Man said:
Well, I don't see those things on my DVD....some of the fans actually seem quite excited
pulle28 said:My take on the Boston DVD:
I can understand why people don't go berserk for two whole hours, but it really amazes me (with the kick ass beginning elevation tour had) that so many cannot even bother to raise a hand during take off.
And I don't think it has something to do with editing.
