Aww, c'mon gumpy, A-Rod is "only" 35. You'll see, he's gonna come back strong in 2011.
Martinez is a solid signing, but that alone isn't going to have the rest of the division shaking in fear. They need to do more. Couple that with a Dunn signing and, yeah, I'm starting to worry about the Tigers lineup. But even that doesn't say anything about their defense or their pitching (who will close for them?, who do they have behind Verlander in the rotation?).
I really wish I had an MP3 of Bill Hicks gut laughing.6/150? Really, Jeter?
The Sox might give him 2/20 just for spite, imagine him showing up in Yankee Stadium in a Red Sox uni.
I mean, the Sox love wasting money on shortsops anyway, I think they're stll paying Edgar Renteria, Julio Lugo, Orlando Cabrera, Alex Gonzalez and Rick Burleson.
imagine him picking up his 3000th hit in Fenway against the Yankees? Or even better, in yankee stadium in a big spot with a hit that drives in a late go ahead run?
the yanks have signed away many former red sox legends... have the sox ever taken one the other way?
what about 40? 2 for 20?
Wouldn't be a catastrophe, but the Yankees would match that easily. They're much more worried about the years than the money, which is wise.
Headache, do you have a Derek Jeter google alert?
