More importantly, how is the UA and Friday's holding up?

They've redone the UA but I haven't been there since the early 90's when I got in free cause friends worked there. It stunk like feet back then.

Recently got shut down for bed bugs I've heard.

Fridays I haven't been to in ages. Jordan's Lobster dock is sill good though. Golden Gate is closed too.

We probably have the same friends, that is when I too, got in for free.

Golden Gate is closed? Where am I going to being my secratary for nooners?

Who's dcv2002 on twitter? I just re-tweeted your Rt. 17 post. AWESOME.

I'm klhrabosky on twitter, btw. I don't see much on there about the current GA situation though. Heading over to get my ticket. I'll report back if I see anything of interest.

Side question as I have been out of the U2 loop lately...anyone know if they have ever played Fez-Being Born? Doesn't seem like it. Wonder why not...that would be KILLER live!

oneskirt - i don't think they have ever played it. I think they talked about it, and might have played the intro to it, but no chance I think

I don't want the headache of having to plan this shit out.

Plus too many douchey financial guys from mid town in the pit for my liking and it's hard to make a quick piss run during Stuck in a Moment or Pride when you're standing. I did GA the last time they were in NJ and realized I didn't really like it anymore.

I did it on Elevation and loved it. Maybe I'm too old for this shit.

your never too old!

Or my search function for #u2360nj ain't workin.

It's 91F in East Rutherford, NJ right now. I wonder how many people are actually in line? Probably 1. Do you think they draw straws to see who is the unlucky one who has to hold the clipboard? Or do they just hang it on a fence with a sharpie tied to it?

If they hang it on a fence, I'm going to go down there and draw a trollface on every page.

Ok, I know you guys are going to love to take the piss out of this post, but I gotta post the updated info I've received from GAers currently at the stadium, for those who actually want the info (and don't just want to make fun of queuers!).

UPDATE re: GA LINE from fans at stadium:

The parking lots at Giants Stadium will open at 7 am. Please arrive at Lot J by 7 am in order to join the GA line. There will be a 7 am check-in in Lot J. Between 7 am and 8 am, U2 security and venue security will escort the GA line from Lot J to the actual spot where they want us to line up on the stadium premises. Once security had moved the GA line, the line will stay in the same place for the rest of the day.

I like the underlining. It makes it super-official.

I'm leaving Long Island between 2-3pm. Why? Because I don't want to be sitting on a bridge during the concert.

So you show up today for 2 seconds. Get a number, and show up tomorrow at 7am? That's like super-luxurious cushy GA lining up. Back in the day, we had to GA Line-Up in 10 feet of snow both ways!

Honestly, I am just trying to be helpful to those who choose to go along with the GA plan as it currently stands. People can choose to go along with it or not-- I'm just putting the info out there that I've received from those who have actually spoken to security all day today.

Again, I am only trying to notify those people who are actually curious as to what is supposedly going to happen tomorrow morning. That's why I underlined and bolded the text, so that they would not miss the info amongst all the joking/bitching.

Whatever, I'm out. Ciao kids! See you tomorrow!

Thanks for the info! It is very helpful for those of us not in NY/NJ yet.

Ally, don't be put off my me. You are being helpful. And I guess it is helpful for people who want to get there early tomorrow and are not from the area. I did not realize you did the underlining I thought it was just a cut/paste.

But the problem is how many people actually know about that information. And how many people will show up at 4,5,6 am and form there own line? Should be interesting.

All I can say if anyone if standing in line. There is nothing there. Bring an umbrella, sunscreen, and lots and lots and lots of stuff to drink.

No worries, dude... Good luck to all doing GA tomorrow- I hope everyone has a great show. And you're welcome, brkngrrl and U2Fanatic4Ever. :)

LIES! Wendy's on Rt. 17 South is the official meetup until they drive us away.. Then it's onto White Castle!

The GA line at the stadium is run by impostors and closet Nazis. You join their GA line you'll be standing next to Hitler at the show!

Can anyone tell me what time the band will actually comes on? I am going to really be pressed for time and I don't want to be stuck on a bridge when they come on? Thanks in advanced ffor any information!!

I kind of figured it would be about 9...I will be driving from LI, but have to wait for my hubby to get home from work in Brooklyn...sounds like he'll have to leave earlier than I thought. Thanks for the info!
