yeah, he sure knew how to make an exit.
Nevermind.
Nevermind.
yeah, it was actually a pretty solid if not a tad misguided post.WTF, dude, put it back up.
Why'd you edit? I agreed with you for the most part. I think as the ambassador for the "much-maligned" clique, you articulated your position very well.
What was misguided about it, Ian? Seriously. Enlighten me.
But if you think I keep things completely exclusive to Laz, LMP, Pfan, etc, you're dead wrong.
Glad we're on the same page then, Ian.
I think a lot of this animosity really started with the Shuttlecock schism. The clique got cliquier and thus more polarizing. Those of us who are parts of this clique realize it exists, but it's foolish for anyone to think we're all conspiring to take down certain threads or posters. It doesn't work that way. We enjoy making each other laugh, and unfortunately a lot of the inside jokes we use for that purpose can be seen as the kind of exclusive crap you guys don't like. I get that, but I'm not going to apologize for it. I see plenty of stuff here I don't agree with, find completely vapid, or just plain don't care about. The difference is I glaze over it.
And lest you guys think I'm pulling some holier-than-thou thing right now, it's not that way at all. There are no perfect posters here, and I'm certainly far from it myself. Maybe farther than most.

RIP.
And the root of the problem remains, yet again. And will continue to, sadly.
Some people need to shut the fuck up and some people need to speak the fuck up and everyone knows who they are in this scenario.
At least I wont have to hear about these people from Zoots anymore and thus won't come into contact with them, save for an odd thread or two.
It's just amazing how they managed to close a thread of his after he had already gone. Were they warned for it or was the thread just locked? I'm honestly curious about this.
I'll go back to the tour forums/FYM now. Bye.
I definitely hope that this banning hasn't been for nothing. He may not have brought it the correct way but there's truth in what he said.
I, for one, am enjoying the discussion here. It's great to see the varying opinions put forth this way and all of us interacting in this manner.
Zoots' final post was awful and I'm sure he knew it would get him banned. I guess you could say he took this war he had with these "clique" people a little too far.
Glad we're on the same page then, Ian.

In any case, I'm going to keep cracking wise and having some great discussions about music, TV, films, and the like while I'm at it. If anything I say or do gets under anyone's skin, I can't help you. But feel free to PM me about it or respond in a thread rather than complaining about it in here, UYMFA, or wherever else. This place will never come close to approaching its "glory days" without going right to the source.
If the members of "the clique" can honestly look within themselves and not feel any level of remorse or responsibility in being part of a scenario that resulted in one of our long time friends finally snapping and getting himself banned, well..
Ashley, it definitely has gotten out of hand on more than one occasion, but you're just as likely to see an attempt by one or several to reel things back in.
