So GA tixs cannot be resold (name must match), but all seated tickets are not subject to this and can be resold?

I think only Phoenix has a mention of paperless GA on ticketmaster (under Event Info link).

I am panicking now, no emails at all.

I am in the lower group it seems, maybe we have to wait longer for our codes!

i read it was the other way around. all reserved seats are subject to CC entry only. at least for Toronto.

If I had to guess, Id bet it will be paperless for GA and prime lower level seats and normal ticket options for the rest of the arena.

Paperless is against the law in NY, so they may make it will call for the more desired locations

Gift subscription? I thought every member had a pre sale code?

What do you mean by "every member"? If by, every member including free members - no. If you mean that people who subscribed through gift subscriptions get pre-sale codes too - maybe, I don't know. The problem now is that I have not been given any email to "give away" my subscription. When do I get that? Very sad right now.

Definitely.
People don't always have access to the internet especially with 15 hours notice.
Shabby way again to treat fans.
Why not give people a week or so to get prepared.
:angry::angry:

Who doesn't have access to the internet with 15 hours notice? It's 2014.

If you don't have an internet connection and/or web capable phone by now, and it's not just some personal off the grid choice of yours, you probably shouldn't be dropping a couple hundred bucks on a U2 show.

Now the selling of tickets on short notice in the middle of the holiday shopping season, when people have already allocated their expendable income elsewhere? Yea... That's annoying.

So is there any way to sell your tickets if you can't go? It's nearly a year from now until the show.

Err people who have work commitments ,travel plans etc.
My place of work doesn't have internet connectivity for personal use or allow mobile devices.
Finding the money should be last of your problems........

Ok so have you guys received your presale codes yet? I have not and nothing shows up on the tour page. My account is valid through November 15th 2015 and was renewed early on the 22nd of October

I'm feeling pretty happy to have U2 announce their tour dates on my birthday. The last time that I felt similar was when they broadcast the PopMart Mexico City show (Dec. 3).

I also lucked out with U2 playing Boston in July and not June like I thought they would according to the online rumors yesterday. My other favorite band Wilco has their Solid Sound Festival in Western MA on the last week of June. That's always a blast with deep cuts and different set lists.
Anyways, I just got an email that that is going on presale this Friday at 10a.m. too.
WTF!
Bono sang a few verses of Wilco's Far, Far Away in the intro to Beautiful Day on their 360 Chicago stop. And in the late 90s, Wilco covered a bit of Sunday Bloody Sunday at Red Rocks.

Finally, did any Bostonians see this article in the Herald today saying that U2 could play Fenway Park in August? I certainly hope not.

Haha its all good. I have a few peeps I'll meet up with. I meant like actually GOING to the show with someone. The U2 hate is real.

U2 hate right now.

U2 hate come concert time magically disappears.

I am in CA now and may go to the San Jose shows... but right now, my friend and I are aiming for the two Boston shows. However, if i do go to San Jose, I'd be happy to meet up with you Sicy (and friends).

From Zoo mods:

If you live in a big city, your golden, if not, well "well hello Southwest Airlines, you are free to move about the country" -- that said, crossing fingers for some smaller-city dates that fill in some of those big gaps in time.

God, the demand for these shows is probably going to be the highest ever in the band's history, especially for GA tickets if you aren't a fan club member. Hell, just getting floor tickets as a fan club member could be difficult because a lot of people are going to attempt to go to shows that are nowhere near where they actually live.

1) There's going to be hardly any GA tickets available for the general public or people like me (who could never rejoin the fan club after the Vertigo Tour disaster). The last two tours did not have floor ticket allotments for arena shows as Ticketmaster refused to open up all of the available seating in the Vertigo pre-sales. Thus, a bunch of fan club members buying a couple tickets for each show is going to add up pretty quickly in these arenas.

2) It's U2. There's no doubt in my mind that Ticketmaster is still going to keep GA tickets and good seating for themselves, sending those instantly over to their own scalping site.

3) I do really like the paperless route for floor tickets as it really stops the scalpers. We also don't need people whining on here about how they couldn't get GA tickets to their eighth show of the tour.

4) I hope the price for the nosebleeds is actually fair. I would hate to pay like $80 while somebody on the floor gets in for $30. I've never been down with the band's "subsidized" pricing. Practically everybody that attends a show would prefer to see it from the floor and it really pissed me off on Vertigo that if we didn't have a floor ticket for a show that we would be paying a ton for a seat. I didn't pay extra for the seat because I'm "rich" according to Bono...I did it because there weren't other options (partially thanks to that shitty presale).

I have been trying to renew my subscription for the past 2 days. Has anyone else had trouble? After I confirm my address info there is no link to enter payment info. Just a blank page.

Help??

I'm totally fine with the paperless thing. I am trying to get tix for my husband and two friends (and they for us) but we're all going together so no matter. I would much rather there be more tix available and not being scalped so everyone has a better chance at buying the tix they need up front and not having to do these ridiculous trades.

It is supposed to take you to a live nation page for you to enter your credit card information. I got through, but I had to keep going back and refreshing to get to that point.

I wish, but I'm not so sure. The morons still try to sell them, and then convince buyers that they will be able to 'escort' them into the venue by meeting them at the gate. But hopefully it does discourage it a bit.
