I haven't been able to find any information on the stage setup, which would be helpful to know when purchasing tickets.

I, like so many others, am disappointed by the 2 ticket policy. It should be at least 4 tickets per account that could be used for only 2 shows, or something similar.

a few of the venues have a map. looks to be long stage cutting the middle of the stadium

"this arena production will feature its own innovation, with the staging in the middle of the bowl and spanning the length of the arena floor. U2's typically eye-popping video elements (as in the video cylinder that awed on 360) will have a giant double-sided screen running above the stage."

:combust:

So does it qualify as "in the round" tour ?

A wide stage, across the floor. :hmm:

This is exactly how it should be. Or simply 4 tickets and you can allocate them however you want but yeah two pairs of tickets would be fine. Would allow fans the chance for NA tickets and Europe tickets or tickets to back to back nights with a friend. None of this forcing us to go by ourselves if we want to experience both nights.

Makes ya wonder what the conversation was like when they(whoever that is) sat in the room and all agreed this was a good idea.

2 tickets? If they are playing multiple dates in cities, the chances of getting tickets during the general sale will be slim to none. I tried buying Foo Fighters tickets earlier this week and they sold out within 10 seconds. Obvious a lot of scalpers are using bot programs and getting all the tickets.

Lets hope U2 sends the password information on time for the presale.....I am already getting worried.

I can't believe this OMG! I'm going on a cruise to Alaska from YVR on May 18!!!!!!!! I arrive in YVR on the 14th!!!! I've Got to get tix for the 15! Can anyone tell me if you can buy tickets from another country for a concert as I'm in the UK? I'd consider joining the fanclub to guarantee a ticket through pre sale if I could!

Hoping to buy MSG through Ticketdisaster tomorrow(I'm UK based too)
BTW the fan club sign up gives you a chance of getting a ticket but no guarantee.

Good luck:up:

this announcement virtually assures that i will get no work done today or tomorrow as a wait for my tier 2 time to buy...

I guess the first date will be innoncence and second experience. But i really wanna go on both concerts to get the full experience!

Lets face it, Live nation long forgot about thinking about the fans.

Are Red Zone tickets worth it? Is it crowded like GA or is it more orderly? I did GA for the first time at Giants Stadium on 360 and it sucked. People pushing and shoving and it was so crowded.....not worth it at all.

I haven't seen Red Zone pricing - hopefully they'll post it before tomorrow. It can be worth it when it's cheaper than the premium seats. I did it a couple of times last tour.

I admit I'm disappointed by many of the difficulties we'll all face with this pre-sale and regular sale situation. The worst to me is that I feel like we don't have any information as to how the shows in each city will be any different and I guess we're expected to make a decision blindly. I really hope they do another round of touring hitting other cities because I feel like this is going to be the most logistically difficult tour for me yet.

Yeah, but you'd have a better chance at getting tix with the pre sale rather than through the general "bot sniper" sale I'd imagine. Arghhh I HATE ticket sales!

Thanks, just found one configuration on Ticketmaster. It still lacks information, though, such as what areas 1, 2, 7, and 8 (those on the side but on the floor) are. I assume those are Red Zone. I like the circular stage in the middle of the arena. Appears they'll be using the hockey layout.

I do wonder if there is a GA section. I say this because from the configuration, it appears there are separate floor sections - possibly being seated on the floor, which is how many bands are using nowadays.

Yep.I feel your pain.
Home from work and loads to consider before tomorrow.
Really could have done with at least a few days grace.

Red Zone is a rip off in my opinion.

Its £220 in London and 265 euro in Amsterdam

No way would I pay anywhere near that ,GA is only 65 euro but almost impossible to get .

I think U2 are scalping with the Red zone .

and whether buying those eats into your two pre-sales? i got a nice raise today so it is tough for me to be cheap bugger about RZ tix's. i am at least going for RZ for one of the YYZ shows.

Not sure what you're looking at, but this post has the most detailed layout I've seen so far, and it sounds nothing like what you describe.

Depends on the pricing - I paid only $120-150, around half the price of the people in seats behind me. And I didn't have to line up all day to get a good spot. I suspect the prices will be higher though.
