ONE love, blood, life
U2 trying to sound more like Ed Sheeran was new to me.
Lol, I know. I’m sorry, you were collateral damage in me having a dig at the previous post.

Ok I've just realised what they are trying to do here. It hit me while watching the new Disney doc they did with Letterman. This is Bono and The Edges take on "U2 do Ed Sheeran" to get back to the top of the Pop Charts. In that way it makes absolute sense and looking at the album charts its worked. I have never ever seen the reason why Ed Sheeran's busker style shite music has sold so massively. But it seems that todays music buying public can't get enough of it.
He sold his soul for that sound. Oh wait, that's Robert Johnson.I heard an acoustic song by the artist Jack Johnson last night, and I immediately thought "wow he's trying to sound like Ed Sheeran".
Sadly it looks like SOS will only hit the top 10 in the US. Even though RIAA certifies this album as 4 sales per unit, soundscan just counts it as 1, so no boost on the charts for the 4 disc set.
One annoying thing. Since I listened to stories of surrender on audiobook, every damn time I play these new songs Bono pops in my head announcing the chapter.

what you'd expect...
If Radiohead put out an album like this and they played all the music the same as the original except they put some trombone in it, they would rate it 100.
Some sane comments towards the end of the review, but he lost me at the beginning when he said that Stories for Boys does not improve the song at all.
So… did anyone order the 4 Vinyl deluxe box from U2.com and not get it? According to tracking, mine is still sitting in pre-shipment.
