Does this go along with the U2Espania tweet? Maybe the last number is 8. Meaning the kickoff of the promo for The Blackout with begin next week on Monday the 28th?
Maybe an actual announcement of the song on U2.com, a clip...

U2VALENCIA have been full of shit for a while. They got lucky with an invite inside the studio once and have tried to play it off as if they have insider access ever since.

Here is the thing...we were told 9/8 something was happening but we don't know what. With the touring kicking off earlier on 9/3, it would make sense that U2 would play it live. It's there new "baby" and they want to get it out to the world.

With that said, an August 20 something release to radio makes sense.

Late August-Release the song to radio before the tour starts up.

9/3- tour kicks off...oh hey, here is our new single America

9/8- album news? Single released to iTunes? Video released? Who knows.

I've noticed that's how it often works nowadays. First, a single released and then a few weeks later an actual album announcement (title, cover, tracklisting).

(Was the case recently for the Foo Fighters, First single announced without any words on a possible album, just to kick off their festival tour. (U2 could do the same to launch the new JT leg and announce the album a few weeks later)
