U2 have too much going on right now, and are suffering from too many options. They just need to put something out ASAP that reflects the best of this "Danger Mouse album/Club album/Spiderman songs/Rubin Sessions/Songs of Ascent/2010 Road testing songs" clusterfuck they're in. Then finish out the 360 tour, finally, and start the next album completely from scratch, and have that be their one and only musical focus.
I agree. The boys are stuck in the mud. Spiderman is draining them and they seem to have lost focus. Achtung was great bc the took off to a new locale and WORKED. They need to do nothing but the album. You would never be good at your job if you had this much going on in your life. Focus Bono-san! Focus!!
SUC = Suck
Boots is way, way, way superior to SUC.
I would also choose rabies over ebola in a heartbeat.
^^^Boots is a superior and good song.
I just wish they would leave the pre chorus lyrics out, "You don't know how...". Should have just had the band playing, no need for lyrics as it sounds sloppy.
SUC.....well.......I'm afraid its worst U2 recorded song since........damn
Radiohead are so cool:
monday announcing that their new album will be available for download this saturday. Then deciding to push it even a day forward!
4 days between official announcement and having the music on your iPod!!!
U2 should really do a Radiohead!

Gavin's latest tweet
"Alive and Well and looking forward to Good Friday!"

You guys remember the frigging nonsense/secrecy on hearing GOYB!?!? The reports of record executives holding meetings, previews, and other BS just to hear one song.....
U2 could have just released MOS on Christmas Eve or right before on U2.com (free download) and would have had a better reaction than treating a song like "Boots" as the holy grail of singles.
And your right Headache, as much as U2 gives props to Indie bands & bands like Radiohead, you would think they would follow suit. With Danger Mouse in the mix things will be low key this time.
