good question, does that really work??

I need to find a way to keep one kitty from trying to eat carpet.

that's my Wesley's favorite. Actually he doesn't eat it...he just rips it up and brings me the pieces  He's so darn cute that I can't get mad at him though. He purrs (constantly), bats his pretty little eyes, and snuggles up in my lap after he's done the deed.  I will say that he's gotten much about ruining the carpet better since I gave him some older throw rugs. He figured out quickly those were for him to tear up.

Zoey!

Beautiful!!

Is it black like scabby? Saki gets chin acne sometimes but his lip is never swollen. Are you sure its that? Ceramic should be ok. I wash the cats bowls every day. The oils in the food build up on the dish and then rub against their chin. You could use a mild antibacterial soap and water or even a low strength acne pad on him.

No, not black - although I've seen some black dirt like specks before. Here's a pic:

To be honest, if he wasn't so pink, I probably wouldn't have noticed it. Otherwise, he's acting normal - eating, playing, etc.

I haven't been washing his bowl everyday. I'll start doing that.

I doubt that's chin acne.. maybe he ate a bug that bit him or something?

i know what you mean, its hard to get mad at them.

i think i will try Sicy's citrus spray.

My lil stinker Moka keeps taking her breakaway collar off everytime i put it back on her she takes it off later on..

Is she mainly an indoor cat?

We only put the breakaway collar on Keto only when he's going to go out of the house. In fact his collar is clipped onto the leash so we never forget. Anytime he's going out we slip that around him and then he's good to go.

Inside the house, he's allowed to roam collar less. I guess it spares him from having something around his neck at all times and also we get tired of hearing his tags jingling around 24 hours a day.

Thanks. You put that dirty idea in my head and made this the most unfortunate post in Interf history:

yeah, she is indoor but i like the collar on her because it has a bell and I can hear her when she is wandering around..keeping tabs on her so to speak.. Also if she were ever to escape from the house we could get her back..

Cat people, HALP! Mofo has decided in the past couple of weeks that he doesn't want to use his litter box anymore. He's been finding random corners to use instead and it's driving me up the wall. He's not got an infection and I keep the box totally clean, so beyond that, I have no idea what his issue is. I shoo him away when I catch him in the act, but being a cat and not a dog, it doesn't deter him when I'm not looking. WTF do I do besides murder him or put him in diapers?

:scream:

If you're sure he doesnt have an infection then something must have changed recently to make him do this since he's never done it before. You cant totally rule out an infection or other issue though without taking him to the vet. Did you move the litterbox, get new litter, change anything in the house, pets, people, etc? Usually they're mad about something or acting out when they start doing that for no reason.

You'll have to clean the areas really well with an enzyme spray like Nature's Miracle or something like that or else he'll keep going in the same spot. For deterrents try the citrus spray / bitter apple.. tin foil, double sided tape.

He was healthy at his recent check-up and he's not urinating more frequently, so he appears to be healthy, though I suppose I may have to take him back to rule out a health issue 100%. From what I can see, he's not using the box at all, because there's nothing to clean. :der: I haven't moved the box or changed the litter, so maybe he's acting out. I don't know what he could have to be acting out over. I'm confused. I so don't know cats like I know dogs. I've got an enzyme cleaner, but he's so quiet and sneaky, I don't know if I've found all his little hiding spots. :grumpy:

If he's not using it at all I'd bring him in. In the meantime, dump the old litter, wash the box and refill fresh and see what happens.

Snapped a picture while I was kitteh sitting last night. Zzzz...

I know what you mean. I lost my Pita around the same time and I still miss her. I still catch myself glancing over at her chair expecting her to be there.

My mother got a heated throw blanket for Christmas, and I brought it upstairs tonight to watch a movie. Bowie thought it was pretty much the greatest thing to ever happen. Ever. I don't know if it's possible to hang bro-style any more than he did tonight.

Seriously, the photoshop potential of these is infinite so have a field day if you wish, I don't have the program anymore :(

(I imagine him throwing down hip hop threats here or something)

(Seriously Bowie, no lady is into that)

And me and Bowie chillin' for fun:

I've probably mentioned this before, but I'm still so surprised at it that I'm going to post it again. My little black and white girl cat (Miss Myrrh) who pretty much hates everyone has decided over the past several months that we are now BFFs.

She sleeps with me, she curls up next to me and lets me pat her when I'm watching tv, she follows me around the house so I can pat her, she doesn't get furious when I accidentally give her a static shock (just a little irritated), she likes to lick my fingers and hands (no quite sure what that's all about, but it certainly seems to be a sign of affection), and she purrs like a diesel engine! And best of all -- it's only taken five years! :cute:
