DC, Charlottesville, Atlanta, Tampa, Los Angeles, Vancouver Pre-Sale & General Sale

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

Not specific to DC, but the band has been saying the rear seats will be good. It's unfortunate that we don't have the benefit of some Europe shows occurring before pre-sale of NA. Might not know for sure how good those seats are until some concerts start. Best guess is you'll be fairly close and unobstructed, but looking at the band's back sides most of the night?

Yup. I did this during Vertigo tour. Philly had so many shows during Vertigo that I had to try one time to get a seat behind the stage, just to see how it would be like. Of course, the seat is not ideal. Yes, you'll be looking at their backs, most of the time... The only glances we got of their faces were when Bono turned around from time to time, and when Adam and Edge looked to Larry just before they ended the songs. With Larry... you gotta be a little creative. He's the one who doesn't move freely during the shows, even if he wanted to engage the rear stage crowd, he wouldn't be able to. You also have a set of big screen TVs if you really want to see their facial expressions at a particular time.

But I found it to be a whole other experience... I loved it in its own way. I'd say if this isn't your only show, then go for behind the stage experience. You'll be really close to the band, and you'll only be paying $95 instead of $250 like the other sections. I know GA is not an option for some people...

With that shpiel done, please stay away from 2nd nights' behind the stage seating during general sales... I want a chance at those seats! :D

Good luck to everyone who's going for the presale today!

I was behind the stage during Vertigo in Oakland and it was fine. We were fairly close to the band, 2nd tier, albeit the back of the band, but it was still great. I could see the screen at Bono's feet that listed which song they were going to play next. I kept jumping up and down screaming what was next... :hyper: We had a great view of the back of Larry. :) And at least a few times Bono walked all the way around to the back. So it was fine in an arena, but this tour being a stadium.....I'm not sure how it will compare.

Do you know if your seats for the games will be the same for the concert? I should ask my father today if he received an email from the Falcons about the presale, since he too is a season ticket holder.

I didn't get that impression. I sit in the lower level, and it didn't mention anything about specific seats. For some reason I want to say that the suite holders get first rights to their seats for any other events, but that would be a rather small number and in a specific area -- Mezzanine Level roughly between the 20s. I think/hope it will be like the other presales... decent seats scattered throughout the dome. Seemed to be a pretty generic password -- nothing like the U2.com one.

I was behind the stage for Vertigo Philly also but since this design is new and looks more "open" (versus just being a tradition stage set up) I was wondering if these seats might be just as good as seeing them from up front.

What are the "U2.com Bundles?"

Basically it's a U2.com membership plus tickets. So you get to buy tickets at the very end of the presale (I don't know exactly when it starts) and they add 50 bucks to your ticket price for a membership.

Ah cool, thanks guys. What's been the story on GAs being left over for boots subscribers for the US shows? I'm still feeling sore over not getting a horizon membership (my subscription had lapsed without me knowing and I had to re-up), and I'm afraid I won't be able to get them.

Would anyone go for section 105? That's what is coming up for me for the $95 tickets

Wow, that was close. Just as I was buying 2 GA's for Tampa we had a fire drill in the building. The fire wardens were dragging me out of my office as I was trying to complete the sale  Luckily I was able to press complete just in the nick of time.

I was thinking the same thing. That's what I keep getting too. I just wish I knew what other sections I could get for $95.

So can you have more than one membership per household? My dog has expressed interest in joining, but acknowledges I'm better at getting tickets.

Oh man, how bad would that have sucked! Anyone pulls a fire alarm at my office tomorrow at 10am is toast. Congrats on getting your tickets.

The only person in my family (including toddlers aged 2 and 4 and my 70 year old parents) who doesn't have membership at this point is my dog. :shifty: :hmm:

:lol::lol: :applaud: At least you completed that sale! Did you get a printout of confirmation too? :D

Now obviously I have to put the disclaimer, "Kids, don't do that when it's a real fire..."

Which venue are you guys talking about?

FedEx field for the DC show.

I ended up going with the 105 tickets because each time I'd refresh, it wouldn't give me a different section, but rather a higher row in that section. I figure that if they really are going to be "in the round" and Lanois says the best seats are behind Larry, then maybe it's not a bad deal.

Charlottesville, here we come!

Just got 2 tickets in section 123 (Adam's side) for Charlottesville! It went very smoothly and my breathing is starting to return to a normal rate. I hope it goes well for everyone else!

within 10 minutes, i just scored:

1 GA to New York 9/25
1 GA to Charlottesville
1 GA to DC

Sooo easy! Much better than the General Sales!

Got tix for DC as well.

Section 122, seats 17 to 20.

Was hoping from something lower though as I forked over $1,100!!!

But quite happy regardless. Now I have to get my boss to pay for my flight from Buenos Aires to DC ;)

Still thinking about it.

Ahh, the luxury of a Horizon code. Kicking myself for waiting so long to sign up. Any word on whether there are Redskin codes out there that will jeoparize us poor Breathers from getting good seats?

did you take them?

I decided to pull the trigger and get 2 in section 105 for DC. I was in the same boat as you with the row keep going up and up. I was getting row 21 for the longest time then it bumped up to row 27. Figuring I'd give it one more chance, I got row 15 and took 'em!

What row are you in?

I think those NFL codes are for a diff set of tickets so they don't really take away from you guys. I'm on the waiting list for Redskins tickets and they often send out promo stuff like presales but I haven't gotten one for U2.

Just got 4 GA for Cville--my hometown! I still can't believe U2 is playing there.
