Has the balls to put either his first and last name, first and middle name, or middle and last name as his username, which earns him points. He is also a huge fan of Batman, which earns him massive points with me. Wayne also keeps up an internet relationship with fellow member Babydoll, arguably the cutest couple on the site besides Laz/Corianderstem and Screwtape/every woman - this consists of mentions in their sig and pictures of her ass in his avatar, a fair exchange. While he may appear to be Bono at times, some dastardly fiend keeps blacking out his name on the HQ door, leaving one to wonder whether or not someone should tell the real Bono about this. Posting in Comic Sans loses some points here, too. Overall, he's a good guy and always has something to contribute to the site.

Its Britastic!

Since she's so new (less than a month on the forum), it's tough to give Brit a high or low score. She seems like a pretty cool person, one with a strong sense of humor, but it remains to be seen if she can spread her wings and move forward to greater things. Right now she's just staying put in OOC, and that's fine for a newbie, but that also ears her a middle-of-the-road rating.

Screwtape2

Hmm. Well, I have much to say about Screwy. A large percentage of that would add little value to this review. He is officially on my ignore list, and there are numerous reasons for this that I will tackle shortly. There are also many positive qualities about him that must be mentioned.

Firstly, what has he added to this forum that's positive? For one, he has, for better or worse, done much to push artistry to the next level in the Desert Island game. He has consistently done well and attempted to praise others for their work, though his sincerity (for good reason) has often been questioned. His "Interferencers You Meet In U2 Heaven" series was complimentary (if more than slightly biased in favor of the fairer sex), and he has always grabbed me as a kind, thoughtful character. This all puts him above the halfway mark rating-wise, but there are other issues that must be considered.

For every kind word, Screwy has time and time again managed to blow it by irrationally blasting another member, or going off on tangents nearly unrelated to the topic. His thoughtfulness hurts him on a regular basis, as he cannot communicate with others on a more terrestrial plane, and this makes him often come across as pretentious. Compounding this is his inability to accept criticism, or approach the opinions of others with an open mind.

Generally, I would never give such a high rating to someone on my ignore list. But there it is.

Like, yeah, she has PLEBA skills. The fact that Pfan even knows this shows that she's a well-known value to that entire section. Furthermore, she's one of the most down-to-earth folks I've conversed with from that section, and she takes the PLEBA bashing on the chin. I like her a lot. She's even managed to branch out into other sections (beyond OOC  ), which something that not all PLEBAns can say. Very good interferencer.

Yay, a full tenth higher than last time :yippie:

 and I do go to OOC occasionally... but you're never there when I am!

:sexywink: If you need any more employees... y'know... I could call you boss from now on... :shifty:

Well well well. GAF is an interesting poster. Relatively new to interference, he's finding his way among the labyrinthine forums and threads and making his presence felt.

His early posts centered around the Chicago White Sox, an average baseball team playing in a weak division, and as such their record makes the team appear better than they really are. His referring to the Sox as a "Buzzsaw" soon earned him scorn, antipathy and the nickname "Hawk Jr.". His outlook on Chicago sports teams, is, um, a tad optimistic....but at least the passion is there, and sport is about passion.

He is also a big music lover, as well as a lover of TV and film, and so he saunters into Zoo Station with more and more frequency. Sure, he worships the Gallagher brothers a little too much, but, he's kind of like a Gallagher brother without the talent. Wait...he's just like a Gallagher brother, sorry. Sometimes, he'll back a quality show like Gilmore Girls, sometimes he'll tell us all about some BBC show about British teenagers getting their drink, smoke and fuck on, which makes him pine to move to London so he can have a new set of police keep their eye on him.

Which segues perfectly to my next points. GAF is like Mickey Rourke in Barfly. We're never sure if he's drunk, sober, both, neither, etc. He leads a happily gin-soaked existence, and we're all witnesses to it. He and his friends have little rituals revolving around watching movies, tv shows, etc....for example, one cute tradition centers around GAF and his Southside pals watching Charlie Rose, and doing a shot of grappa whenever he asks a question. That sort of stuff.

Oh, and, GAF is soul mates with Pedokiss in that both could have a Nabokov novel written about their enjoyment of females of, um, a delicate age.

Lastly, this is all moot as GAF and some of his buddies are road tripping it out to the Grand Canyon and then Vegas, where they are staying at the Stratosphere. If you don't think that a sad, drunken and confused GAF is going to either fall to his demise in the Canyon, or off of the top of the Stratosphere, then I invite you to get to know GAF a bit better. He aint coming back from this trip.

It's no secret that I've grown to enjoy GAF's presence here in a short period of time. Once he found his footing, he's been a funny and quality poster on the board, exhibiting a broad range of interests and a unique take on things. Best of all, he can and will laugh at himself, which is a precious commodity, and that's what allows me to write the things I wrote above.

NSW, that is the most beautiful thing I have ever read. I thank you for everything.

I am actually leaving on this road-trip at midnight tonight. And I am scared. The road is open, and the road is long, but I'm not sure what my destination will be.

On this adventure, I will carry with me three things...

1. A laminated and wallet-sized print of your recent analysis of me
2. A Chicago White Sox baseball cap
3. A condom

Thanks again. I will talk to you all in 11 days.

I hereby bump you to a 7.7... for reasons named in another thread. Wear that .2 well, good sir.

And I am scared.

You should be scared.

And when you're dragging your dehydrated body along the floor of the canyon in one-hundred-and-twenty degree heat and when you're curled into a ball and vomiting on your own chest and when the last of your friends wandered off hours ago I want you to think about what I said about drinking at the Grand Canyon.

In addition to being the keloid queen and wanting to catch that butterfly, N/D is a terrific writer and mother. She'll be there to comfort people in need and write thoughtful blog entries. Although she didn't think she'd get into U2 Heaven, she ultimately did. I don't know this poster very well, but from the little I've seen of her, I'd say she's a nifty person and always has something to bring to the site.

I don't know, this could be the best post I've seen in quite awhile.
