Rock n' Roll Doggie
Okay, did any other Interferencers go to St. Louis? And be in the heart?
.. because, well, you REALLY missed out if you weren't.
I waited in the rain all day, soaked and really cold, being stared at ALL day (one girl drove up, asked what we were doing there and someone said,"U2!" and she said,"YOO-TOO? What is U2?"), etc. etc. But where I got in the heart was all worth it!
I got RIGHT at the tip, no one in front of me but a stupid security guard who refused to crouch down for us to see better -- idiot. Anyway, I was so excited to have such a good spot -- and I was really hoping that I would be lucky enough to be looked at by Bono. (Yes I am an obsessive fool. LOL) Edge had already looked at me in the heart
Anyway.. fast forward to Until The End of The World. I wasn't even looking on purpose, but I kind of noticed he looked a little funny when he started going down the heart. Anyway, fast-forward to the next song, New Years' Day.
I was right at the tip, and Bono came down the walk and of course, EVERYONE pushed and pushed, but I shoved. lol
Then he goes and sings for a bit at the tip of the heart, looking into the crowd -- not into the heart, outside onto the floor I think. Then he turns around and is fumbling with something, and I realize his belt came undone and he fumbled with it for at least a minute or more and kept looking up into the crowd in the heart and at one point when he was fumbling with his belt he looked at me, realized my age and what he was doing in front of me, etc. and half-laughed.
Then he finally got his belt fixed and looked out in the crowd, looked in my direction but not at me, and then turned around and sang some more, and then turned around AGAIN and rebuckled his belt AGAIN!
And then when he was done he looked at me again.
Now I need to go write a full report on St. Louis..

love, lift me up out of these blues, tell me something true, i believe in you..
