i don't know if this is what you're talking about, but i do know that japanese artist Utada Hikaru covered it once. her version was piano heavy, and it was slow, so i guess you could call it relaxing =)

There's a version on a charity CD that I have that consists of artists from the Christian rock genre. It's called In the Name of Love: Artists United for Africa. Believe it or not, it's a hip-hop-type version sung by a male-female duet. *goes to get CD* It's by Grits and Jadyn Maria. It's... interesting.
There's also a very hard-rock version of "Sunday Bloody Sunday" by Pillar and a pretty good version of "Love is Blindness" by Sixpence None the Richer.

I've heard that song very late at night just once -- it was a free rotation thing, so no one said the name of the artist..
