Until The End Of The World... Live performances...

I've seen a few different Until The End Of The World live performances from the various videos and TV apperances.

I've noticed each time after singing the final verse, Bono immerses himself in the crowd, then suddenly draws away suddenly and appears to snap at someone.

What's going on here?

I noticed the crowd part too, but not the snapping part (only at the Boston show on VHS). Maybe it has something to do with the whole Jesus and Judas interpretation - if Bono is playing Jesus (to the crowd) and then tears himself away. (I'm not sure about that part's meaning)

So far I've seen the snapping on the Live from Boston VHS, ZooTV Live from Sydney VHS and the live performance from the 2001 Brit Awards.

Maybe when he is "snapping," Bono is doing his best impersonation of George's dad (from Seinfeld) at someone in the crowd.

"You wanna piece of me!?!?!"
