But got popular in 2001.

From what I remember it was 2000 , Anyway , still we're in 2007 , they are not a new band

i think around 1.2 mill maybe less but the point is they are a huge act in the Uk with a big fan base

its silly to compare with a band that is so british that they are doomed to never break through outside of britain.

Im not comparing lol , we were just looking for a young band that is popular lol.

They have a good backbone to be big though.

They have quite a cult following over sea's too , bit like joy division.

well, they need to

1) improve their music and make it more than just a bit of fun.

2) bring on some humour that other people than brits will laugh at.

Well let's see

U2 in the 90's 3 albums

-There was 4 songs off AB , that's 1/3 of it , don't say u wanted more from it
-3 Songs from Zooropa , fair good number from 10 songs album
-Yeah 3 from Pop is a little low , and people complain bout the re-dones , but I for example prefer the new Staring , And Gone's chorus with Edge

Plus 2 relevant singles of the 90's , and u said bout ATYCLB , but there was only 2 from it .......

And 2 new songs which every compilation has new songs

What's the big complain about it ? Apart from the Pop Songs , Mofo , LNOE ? Sure I would love to have the 4 , but there was 3 from Pop , almost same number from Achtung . Whats so wrong bout it ?

Until the End of the World
The Fly
One
Mysterious Ways
Even Better Than the Real Thing
Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses (Temple Bar Mix)
Stay (Faraway, So Close!)
Lemon
Numb
Discotheque
Mofo
Gone
Last Night on Earth
Please
Staring at the Sun
Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me
Miss Sarajevo

there's your 17.

and to that link you posted, give me a fucking break. really.

(and if you can't read that:

gimme... A fucking break . )

british humour aint funny ? you have insulted my queen , you shall pay...

I personally dont like AM and dont see the hype but they have been compared to the rolling stones and oasis ( bit like every other young british band with the oasis bit ).

Thats wot i hate about british music , we always trying to compare.

i love british humour. monty python and mr. bean are some of the best things that have ever been on tv.

but i dont think this kind of humour alone will make a big band.

you need the emotion. the melancholy. the build-up. the release.

like u2.

Why so much words in spanish in the back screen??? :hmm: very creepy

Anyway U2 are better than RS (.)

There was also words in english , so it was the 3 languages , and spanish well who knows ..... for the people outside Brazil who had come to São Paulo for the show ....

Maybe In Buenos Aires or Santiago there was some portuguese words as well
