Glad that you had a great time
Hi Everyone! I was fortunate to be at the Fordham performance this morning and it was amazing--the band are in fine form, and the GMA and Fordham people could not have been nicer.
Jamila, I appreciate that sometimes fans genuinely like to hear stories of other fans, and that it is a great way to share our mutual enthusiasm for the band. Unfortunately, more often than not, people get a little snarky (as I see as I was looking over the great photos in this thread) and posters end up getting punished or questioned simply for sharing their excitement over having seen a U2 performance So even though I have made some wonderful friends through PLEBA, I don't post here very often because it just doesn't always seem good-spirited.
Assuming that is not the case here, I'll say that quite a few non-Fordham people were admitted into the GMA event because they wanted a strong, lively crowd and could accommodate "extras." I was lucky to be invited as a guest of the University, and they assured me that their students and staff were not disadvantaged in any fashion by the presence of "outsiders." They were really lovely people, and I'm grateful they shared their good fortune with me and some friends.
As for Letterman, someone on Interference won tickets and listed me as the other person, which was unexpected and awesome. I was in town anyway, so it all worked out, and the show was a blast. No one has any control over where they end up seated in the theater there, so my conversations with an acquaintance working there had nothing to do with anything (for the person who felt that it was suspicious). If I was seen earlier speaking to someone with a press pass, it was probably about which songs we liked on the album. If you are really seriously watching MY interactions with people that carefully--geez, you are missing some good music!
I got to see so many fans this week from previous tours who were all having a great time at Letterman, GMA, or out meeting the band. Everyone is so excited to hear amazing new music! It has been a wonderful week, for which I am very thankful I know we are all really loving the new album and have lots to look forward to in the coming months.
Here are some for DL. Not HQ, but prob better than YouTube quality

A news report from local ABC news station (includes snippet of Vertigo at end)
Dailymotion - U2 at Fordham on Ch 7 News NYC,
Was Vertigo the only other song they performed after the show ended? I could've sworn I heard Breathe as the hosts were signing off.
mmm, shoeporn
They played Breathe, but it was only aired for like a second
