Bono's shades said:
Macfistowannabe, do you seriously think Ted Turner is suggesting men be banned from government for real? Silly me, I just thought he was making a bold statement to make a point.
This isn't the first time he's ever advocated a bad idea. And it isn't the first time that left-wing extremists have endorsed an idea just because it's provocative and dumb.
As for Ted and his useful idiots, go ahead and paint us as a bunch of chauvanists who, in your distorted view of reality, hate gender equality. And make sure you use as much dictatorship as possible.
Let's open our ears for our beloved Ted Turner on...
Anti-Americanism:
"The United States has got some of the dumbest people in the world. I want you to know that we know that."
Sympathy for the Devil:
When Ted Turner went to North Korea, in the tradition of Walter Duranty, he painted a rosey picture of one of the most brutal dictatorships of our time.
"I saw a lot of people over there, they were thin and they were riding bicycles instead of driving in cars, but I didn't see any brutality."
I suppose there's a slim chance that Kim Jong Il doesn't have a fetish for sado-masochism.
Playing the Victim of the Media:
"I feel like the Jewish people in Germany in 1942. I know exactly what it is to be rounded up and sent to the East somewhere. Resettled."
Religious "Tolerance":
"I'd rather go to hell. Heaven has got to be boring."
"What are you, a bunch of Jesus freaks? You ought to be working for Fox."
"Christianity is a religion for losers."
Fidel Castro:
"One hell of a guy."
But let's forget all of that, and imagine that he knows what he's talking about this time.
