Well, it's an exciting time, lots to see.
Why does no one know I'm coming (except that now I might not be)???
Actually, Liz was strongly considering it too. We both tried for Chicago 2s. I got a pair and she didn't. If I don't go, I'm going to offer them to her first.
At least advance parking tickets are . ..
Soldier Field Official Parking
Bears games aren't nearly that much, so I wonder why they're trying to hose U2 fans.
Chicago has tons of parking garages so finding somewhere to place your car at won't be a problem. Im leaning towards taking the train in to the city and just walking to Soldier Field from there.
VP, you're still definite for Toronto though, right?
How many of you are coming in on Friday?
That's what I'm doing, it's cheaper for me to do it that way, even with cabs etc, should I chose to use them.
Holy crap, why is it not September yet?
Does anyone know how far it is from soldier field to the nearest train/subway stop? We are thinking about staying by o hare airport to save some moola cos hotels are sooo expensive and just taking the the subway to soldier field for the sunday night show. Would you suggest this?
I posted this in the main Tours section but I wanted to be sure everyone here knew about it. I just spoke with two Soldier Field reps and they said they would not be allowing ANY cameras into the U2 show.
PLEASE, we need phone calls to get this sorted. They couldn't tell me where or when they'd 'posted' this, only claimed they had.
I bought a camera specifically for these shows so I'm gutted.
I have the number, and it's on their website. So please call! If you could post what they tell you, it would be helpful.
Thanks!

Also after the show gets out is the train/subway still running to take us back?

I know this isn't the right thread for this question, but i'm avoiding the main threads. (atu2 already spoiled one of the songs through their poll) But has it been determined who's eligible to get scanned into the ellipse? I saw an ebay listing that said only fan club tickets will have a chance. And are they allowing 2 friends to go along with a winner?

there's no way soldier field security or personnel is going to block people from bringing in point & shoots

For 1st night Chicago, I'm definitely bringing a point & shoot, but for the 2nd night, I may try to bring in my DSLR depending on what I see being used the first night. We'll see.
There is NO way a stadium can stop cameras from coming in--too many people, too little security.

Something maybe to take into consideration....I'm in the RZ--so I'm planning on turning myself into a girl from Brazil in the next month....
You stole my idea . . . I guess I'll go with the gorilla costume instead.
At least...for gods sake...wear a Cami.....
